I just saw episode 10, and couldn't stop the tears. Before I realized it, I was crying, in most of the scenes; it was just heartbreaking, and I'm not a person who cries that easily even though I'm emotional. Several of the last scenes put me into a tear rollercoaster ride. Starting from when Aya wetted herself in front of Haruto, and then she expressed to her mother her uselessness, that she cannot do anything. And to the scene when she couldn't dial the phone and asked her mother to save her, then the scene with Haruto on the bridge reading Aya's "love letter" in which she broke up with him and rejected their relationship, and the scene in the hospital when Aya totally broke down, and her dad crying his heart out.... too many heartbreaking moments T______T;. Everyone acts soo well in this drama, it's not like they were acting anymore. I guess it's the power of a strong written script, and the horrible truth of what the illness can actually do to a person that gave them to emotions to portray the characters they play so well. It's very sad in this ep when it finally hits me that Aya is starting to lose her control over her own body, like she can't do anything for herself anymore. It's such a scary thought, it's like living without being able to fulfilling one's dream or doing things for oneself. It's just hard to even think about. This is one drama in which I'm having a dilemma. Half of me wants the drama to end fast, but half of me doesn't want to see the ending, fearing the worst...

I knew what was coming.. But even reading that^ made me want to cry.. *sigh* T____T

i've only seen episodes 1-3, its so sad! I cried on some parts but especially on the ending credits and they showed the pictures of the girl who really suffered from the disease. that was hard to watch. i was in tears. and the lyrics to the song only human by K, WOW, i really love the lyrics. It gives you so much hope!

just watched ep.11 raw, so sad. didn't understand anything but Haruto cried so much in this episode. Aya dies, was hoping they would make her live longer, because the real girl didn't die until 25, and she's only 18 in the drama. I think there was a cure, but not until 2089? not sure, can't wait till the subs come out.

omgoshomgosh i just saw episode 10.. it was SOOOOO sad. out of all the episodes ive seen, this was the ONLY episode that i actually cried in... all the other ones i teared a bit... but wow. episode 10 was powerful.

I just finished Episode 10 and I'm just speechless. I felt so heartbroken towards the end. I can't believe there's only one more episode left. This is my first ever Japanese drama and I'm glad it's a good one. Because of this drama, I am willing to venture more into Japanese dramas. I haven't watched that many dramas this year but this is definitely the best out of the few that I've watched. I'm proud to say that this will be the first drama I am going to finish this year xD

My mother doesn't like Jdramas much, but this drama really gets to her. She kept on asking me if the new episode was out yet.

I also am getting very impatient now. I wanted to dl the raw so bad, but then, since it's the last episode, I don't want to watch it not understanding anything. So perhaps I'll wait, but the wait is really excruciating T___T;

I can't wait to watch the final ep..although...I'm dreading it. I really want to watch it but then I feel like I should wait for the subs.
But I definitely agree, this is an amazing drama. I don't think they could have made it any better. Aya is such an inspirational character.

The acting in this drama is amazing. I am amazed by Sawajiri Erika and her portrayal of Aya (especially since this is only her 2nd drama I think?). She can put out the complicated emotions that a victim of this disease goes through in a way that literally breaks my heart. Actually the whole cast and their acting breaks my heart. I have never cried in this way because of a drama, and I have never had a "lingering melancholic" feel after watching episodes of a drama.

I can't wait to watch the last episode.

I watched ep 11 RAW and it's another beautiful but sad chapter. I don't like how it is the end but then I also think this is a good end. I love the very ending but I wish that in the drama at least Aya and Haruto could have been together. [spoiler]I guess the last scene where Aya is back in her school gym playing basketball and Haruto stands by the door and watches is kind of like 'a new beginning in the world without her illness'. The tears just came out at that scene. [/spoiler]

No I don't think it was Haruto imagining it. I think it was Aya's dream to go back to that time with Haruto and start over without being ill. I suppose in a way it could be heaven but I think it's rather them starting on a clean slate.

I wanted to wait until episode 11 was subbed to watch it but I couldn't wait.
I prepared myself for my bucketful of tears and boy, did I need it.
What a wonderful drama.
The acting, writing, everthing was good.
It was so heartwarming, so encouraging, so beautiful.
It was inspiring and wonderful...how do I describe it with mere words.

By the way, I am now a Ryo fan.
