Just curious on what ppl say on what your ethicnicity is. Like for example. Im korean but ppl tell me I look Japenese. Like since most asians know like what ethicnicity other asians are they usually know w/o asking but no offense like non-asians can't really tell the difference like the only thing they can think of is chinese.

Like when I was growing up ppl only asked if I was chinese, cause that was like the only asian group they knew. Once I told someone I was korean and they were like korean whats that? Couldn't even talk to the person hahah

Last year me and my mom were at the mall and this white lady like knew we weren't speaking japenese but she said I looked japenese b/c of my face shape, and I was like okay b/c my face is just round and flat, literally and also the other day these little kids were like what are you? and I was like korean duh, so they were like oh we thought you were japenese and I was like really, not even chinese? and they were like no. so I was like okayyyyyy.. hhah

just curious on what other ppl say you look like, like what non-asians think you are and what asians think seriously I came up with this like while I was brushing my teeth right now okayyyyyyy thats just a little TOO much info ahhah

BUt also like should I be offended when ppl say that I look Japenese even though Im korean, b/c of the whole thing on Japan ruling korea and abusing us and etc?

I'm Korean, but sometimes people think I'm a mix between White and Korean.

I think it's my unusual height and some western facial features.

Most people assume I'm mixed - half Chinese/half European usually.

most think i`m japanese
but the japanese know i`m korean...

People think I'm Korean; Even koreans themselves. I'm chinese, though.

Everyone says it's my hair that makes me look korean O_o;

most people will think i'm from china... naturally yes i'm chinese, but NOT from CHINA! lol

and just 1 people ever thought i'm from thailand. and i'm like i don't even look thai! lol...

I was talking with my friends today, &we asked each other what ethnicity did you think the other person was when you first met them?
When peopel told me what they thought I was.. most of them said, they couldn't tell.

viets think i'm viet

chinese think i'm chinese

thai think i'm thai

& so on...as far as asians go.

i'm full korean & most koreans i've just met just can't figure out what i am.

growing up pple mistaken me to be eurasian looking, but i'm 100% hmong. i sometimes get a lot of korean and chinese too.

I'm Chinese/Indonesian/Taiwanese ...NOTHING korean. Yet everywhere I go people assume I'm Korean. Doesn't make sense to me...I don't see it o.O

I'm vietnamese and people always either asume i'm Japanaese or Korean .. .

I'm filipino/chinese, but a lot of people say I look vietnamese. I was sitting with my non asian/asian friends, and they were guessing my ethnicity. Most of them said I look vietnamese, even my asian friends say I look it. Also, when I went to a chinese restaurant, the waiter said "vietnamese, right?"

Others are korean because they went through the 'list of asians' and also because I listen to korean music. I listen to a variety of asian music though..and I don't think I look korean...

and japanese cause my friends and I were making a petition to have japanese as a language, so when I asked a couple of people to sign they were all "are you japanese?" lol. I'm far from looking japanese.

Most people think I'm an (a Southern) Indian except for actual Indians. Those people are far off because I'm actually Black/Hispanic.

When I was little people thought I was chinese now they think I'm puerto rican wth man.

people think im filipino... even though they know my last name is tran... HELLLOOOO, its the second most common last name for a viet person... haha next to nguyen... oh and when i went to mexico, people thought i was chinese too... but this one lady thought i was japanese... she said konichiwa, and i was like wtf, im not japanese.....

I'm mixed --- Japanese, Filipino, & Spanish.

I usually get mistaken for almost everything.
The most popular ones I get are Indian, Hawaiian, Chinese, Portuguese, and some type of Caucasian.

I'm viet, but people mistake me for japanese/korean, because my skin's so fair and what not.

I've been told a lot of things actually, lol.

A couple think I have a mix of white in me due to supposed fair skin/high nose bridge.
Another told me I look Korean due to my eyes.
Several have said I looked like a Honger aka someone from Hong Kong.
The ignorant assume everyone is Chinese.
But really I'm a mix of Chinese&Viet.

I've been mistaken as Japanese... but i'm chinese. i think its the small eyes and my nose is not a button nose.. more on the strongish side....

im chinese, but some ppl at school (japanese international students) thought i was korean cos of my name (my name's karina). I was like....my name is KARINA and theyre like "oh, your name is korean? yeahh....you look korean". bizzare.
