YG said that So-1 wasn't ready enough to debut with the group. Originally So-1 and SeungRi would be drop, but they were given another chance and only SeungRi was able to stay in. So-1 is still a YG trainee.

BigBang had won the Best NewComer at the SK Communications Digital Award, held on the 10th of November. They were judged by the amount of people using their music as their Cyworld background music. BigBang had outsold the rest of the artistes and was awarded October's Best Newcomer.
Previous winner included August's Sweet Sorrow and September's Jang Ri In.

yea so i was watching another big bang perfs (like usual! lol) and you know, I really am happy for all of the guys for being so successful early on..but I really have to say that I am also very very happy for GD and YB especially because they have waited for sooo long for this to happen. I mean GD, wow, is a YG vet to me, but this is his 'time' I guess you could say. I'm so proud of him because you can really see it in their performances how hard they must have trained/worked to get to this point, and GD is no stranger to this business so he knows whats up, and he waited patiently for his time to shine. As I said before, YB just surprised me with that voice of his..whenever I see him perform I'm like, "wow, is this even the same person from before??!" I mean..he still somewhat raps but that isnt his main deal anymore..so every time I watch him, I'm like..so amazed..haha..because when he sings he just looks so different to me than before..not to mention he got so much hotter *__*..ehh but thats besides the point..lol
but yeah, all of the guys have worked so hard, that that's why I love watching every single performance..because you can just feel it. When they first debuted not so long ago, they were READY, like whoa. and you saw they were ready. Big Bang is no joke. These boys are warriors. <3
