Did anyone tune in to see Ugly Betty on ABC? It's such a funny and good series. It's a comedy but at the same time has the mystery/drama elements to it as well. It's so interesting and I can't wait to watch more of it and find out more about the characters, especially that mysterious woman and that guy who owns the MODE magazine company.

OMFG I LOVED IT! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAA It reminds me of My Name Is Kim Sam Soon. America Ferrera is TOTALLY awesome. I LOVE HER. Eric Mabius (the guy who she works for) is alright, but I'd prefer someone to be hotter . I'm predicting that he will end up being her love interest..hmm

i really am wondering whether kimsamsoon purposely copied the original spanish one in some way...
theres a whole list of them on wikipedia that copied it, but samsoon's not on there....

HAHAHAHHA! i was going to make an "ugly betty" thread but guess you beat me to it . there was nothing else on tv last night so i tuned in to "ugly betty" & im glad i did. it cracked me up everytime she smiled bcos of her braces. i think im in love with this show . & i agree, i think the guy she works for is going to fall for her.

I should have watched. I have been watching Ugly Betty's commercial ALL SUMMER. They had it on for like 10 months. Question WHY IS SHE A MODEL? I always wondered. One guy thought she had potential and hired her? or what?

i loved the premiere last night. it was good, but very predictable.

I've watched the original spanish one. pretty good although dragged. She turns out pretty though from a really uglee betty.hahahah

I like it a lot. It was kind of predictable like some said, but still nevertheless very good. Eric Mabias (Sp?), the actor who plays Daniel is a cutie! I've adopted it as my 8PM show to watch from now on. Greys is after too, so I'm set.

no she's the assistant for a model company.. that's why ppl see similarities with devil wears prada but considering this was a spanish drama i think it came out first dunno

This version is soooooooooo much better then the Mexican version called "La Fea mas Bella". I was pleasantly surprised. America Ferrera did a great job. Looks like I'm gonna keep watching this one.

Anyways, I felt so bad for Betty when she was "modeling" and everyone was laughing at her. That was painful to watch. Probably because people REALLY are that cruel in real life and not just on TV.

Looks like it did well in the ratings too! The guy that played Daniel could have been hotter though, but he's alright.

i loved this show, first i liked it but the end when she tripped,and then continued to wal, where daniel was looking at her with that one specific admiring smile.. thats when i feel in love with the show

the columbian version was really funny and also the theme song was funny.....america ferrera.....sound familiar...she's the girl from the sisterhood of the traveling pants right but is she the chubby girl in that movie?

it's a very good adaption, kuddos for Salma Hayak who decided to produce this. America acts very convincing as Betty, her version is so interesting.

I watched every single episode and I think it's one of my very favorite telenovelas, that's why I was wary of watching this one... because I know the plot already, and because I thought it may... ruin it . I think I should check it out anyway.

i love the girl who played betty, she was the chubby girl in sisterhood of the travelling pants. i think she lost some weight, she does look good now.
