Ok, I saw All About Lily Chou-Chou last year and immediately fell in love with it. My addiction to Salyu soon followed. Who else here has heard of her/loves her music? She doesn't seem to be huge amongst American fans, but still...anyone else here?

[what a coincidence ! this afternoon in the train I was listening to Kokyuu]



All about Lily Chou-Chou is one of my favorite movies, that's how I got to know Saylu.
But I think that Lily Chou-Chou and Saylu are really different, even if it's the same singer (and even if I like both of them ). Kokyuu, the album she did with the name "Lily Chou-Chou" (in a way it's the OST of the movie) is dark and desesperate. Landmark her "first" album and her singles, even if it's still the same voice, are more light and sometime funny or ironic (anyway, it's the way I see them).

The thing that remains constant between the two albums is her intensity, I think. She has such a ripping, emotional voice that is so hard to find in earnest nowadays. It's good to see one other fan here!

yay! Salyu/All About Lily Chou-chou fans!! i watched this movie probably 2 years ago or something....and i fell in love with the songs.
my fave are Tobenai Tsubasa and Ai No something something....very nice tunes.
Salyu is incredible and her voice is just amazing!

I watched the Platform music video last week, and I *love* this new song. I wonder how long it will take for her to put out a full new album...

I LOVE her. I was so surprised when someone posted up this topic. Gah... I just watched All About Lily Chou-Chou a month or so ago, and it was an AWESOME movie. I downloaded a few Salyu songs and really liked them so I did a search on google and found out she was Lily Chou-Chou. I recently just found Kokyuu and I LOVE it. Awesome, awesome, awesome...

her voice is so calming and soothing... i like Valon which she did with that other guy...whatshisname.. AALCC is one of the most awesome films ever....Shunji Iwai is an amazing director.
anyway, one of her songs was featured in the Kill Bill Vol. 1 movie but never made it to the soundtrack. i forgot the name of it but its the one that is being played when Uma Therman is in the attic of Sonny Chiba's sake house and she's looking at all the samurai swords...

I don't realy like Salyu's music, but I really like her "Lily Chou Chou" music.
I like the movie also. I kept listening to the album after I watched the movie (Arabesque and Tobenai Tsubasa are my favs)! I also love the other soundtrack of the movie.. forgot what it's called. The song titled "sight" is really awesome!　(｡◠‿◠ฺ｡);

Hi guys. It's kind of late but I like Salyu too. I am so thankful to have gotten to watch All About Lily Chou-Chou. I think her voice is so beautiful and strong and the music reflects right back at the amount of energy that she gives as a singer. My favorite song of hers so far is 'Glide.' ^^;; As I learn more about her and listen to more of her music, I may change my mind on my favorite song, but as of now it's Glide. She's amazing and so is her music. (: /rambler

yeah she's pretty good, but I liked her on the soundtrack more than her album 'Terminal'. I really liked the song 'glide' from the movie.

salyu is a great artist with a great aerial voice, and the video are great very artistic
now i don t know much about japanese language but the translation of the liric are impressive i got erotic and it s pure poetry i love salyu and like u i discover it from the movie riri shushu no subete lol ; )
