I used to really love them. I still like their music but I'm not as rabid as I used to be. They've got some really catchy songs. I remember when I first heard "Dare You to Move" I totally fell in love with them.

good alternative band. fav of course is dare you to move and this is your life. i haven't listen to them for ages! almost forgot about them. :T

not only are they a great band, but they're also the sweetest guys ever. I happened to meet them at a CD signing in San Diego (their hometown), and I knew of them before they got big, because one of my church members used to room with Jon. He told me the day that Jon came home and told him he joined a band. ^^ Ah, the college days.

I do agree that I think their older stuff is better, and I hope that they don't fade out with the influx of other bands that sound like them. =T

It's about time someone made a thread about them =)... Switchfoot is definitely one of the most talented Alternative bands I've ever heard of. I love so many of their songs. "I Dare You To Move", "Stars", "You", "This Is Your Life", "Let That Be Enough", "Meant To Live", & "The Shadow Proves the Sunshine" are the songs I like most by them.

the song that did it for me was "meant to live." totally badass guitars in there. the lyrics for that song and "dare you to move" are so inspirational to me.

Yeah! "Meant to Live" is a really great song. I listened to it so much, but maybe because it got played a lot that I grew kind of tired of it. But these days I can listen to it and still love it no matter what.

Dare you to move is one of their best songs.

They are having a concert soon in Toronto.
I think I might go.

Though not my fav christian rock band, they are still pretty good.

my favorite song of them was "24" I was so in love with it. Other pretty good song is "the blues" you should hear it.

i fell for their music when they toured australia a year back. they're one of my favourite christian bands now. i love 'meant to live'.

I was never really into this group, but I'm really enjoying their latest album Oh! Gravity.

Although it is more polished and pop-sounding than their previous albums... it's terrific. The lead singer's voice is great.

So far, "Oh! Gravity" and "Awakening" are my favorite.

I adore them. Their music, too. Even though... HAHA, I'm not even Christian.

You know, their stuff is really good. But then the radio totally ruins it, like the radio does ALL the time by overplaying things and making you sick to the stomach of the music they play. Like, say, "Meant To Live" or "Dare You To Move". I remember it was "the rage" and they played it every other song. Which made me almost want to murder the radio. Hm.

Anyway. Good stuff. :]

i loved their Beautiful Letdown album... brilliant, brilliant inspirational album.
i'm not into Christian music at all, but that album really moved me.

Has anyone ever seen them in concert? If you haven't - YOU FREAKING NEED TO!

They are THE BEST band I've ever seen in concert and trust me, I've seen a lot - I live in land of concerts.

Most entertaining group, down to earth, they actually interact with the audiance which is rare for bands. Oh and they like to make security freak out - kinda amusing to me.
