kzone: Isn't Northwestern the hard school to get accepted too?

[edit]

I got a letter from Northwestern College saying that I'm on the "wait list."

Do any of you guys have kids at your school who got into amazing schools b/c of athletics?

One kid in going to swim for Princeton, another is gonna play water polo for Stanford, and other girl (who apparently is on the Olympic team - or trains with them or something) is going to Stanford for gymnastics.

=X This is when I wish my parents made me do sports.

please do not PM me asking me to close threads, etc! i am no longer a mod! ^^ thanks!

haha yeah ^^ Harvard for footbal last year and two guys this year are looking at both Harvard and University of Chicago for football as well...it's only because we won state a year ago or so for football. So for some reason if they're decently smart? They stand a great shot. X_X haha

yea. my friend got "recruited" by Dartmouth for soccer. but she's still an amazing student with great overal grades on top of that, and esp. has a knack for Spanish -- she spent her whole previous summer living with a host family in spain. :] so hooray for her!

PS: congrats kzone! you're so lucky to be able to fully reap the benefits of senior status now wink.gif

Hahaa, I think it is. that's what everybody told me. tongue.gif But yeah, it is 10x easier to get into
besides Priceton or Havard. Har har.

And Yes. There are two Northwestern University/College that people get mixed up. Northwestern College is a Christian school while the other one is just a normal school.. I guess. HAHAHA. My junior friend want to apply for Northwestern University. x] Because they have her "major." But then again, I thought every college should atleast your major. lol. I hope I get changed to admitted. My mom will kill if she found out that I didn't got accept to where my sister attend. HAHA. Oh well..

My friend was accepted to Cornell, yay! And some classmates were accepted to Duke. Good stuff.

General Comments:
Ahh, I knew I'd get into Eau Claire and Stout--those are pretty easy to get into and I was undecided for my major for those two schools. However, for UM, I was solid in what I wanted and I really do think that was the one thing that got me in because I intended on majoring in either 'English' or 'Asian Languages and Literatures' and that isn't too common. I'm still waiting on UW-Madison, which I sent in a bit later. Gosh, I'm so happy I got into UM. ^____^;

Ahh, Jenzieee! You're so smart!
