does anyone have a Recipe for Korean Kimchi Recipe that tast like real korean Kimchi laugh.gif if your mom make the best Kimchi so ask your mom please because I want to make it for my family

Kimchi is really hard to make. You need to be skilled to make good kimchi. lol

It's only ten dollars for a big jar at the Korean market such as Gaju, Arirang, and Hannam.

there's 2 recipes on kimchi but it's not easy!

The only ones who make kimchi the old fashion ways are the grandmothers or the mothers who keep up the tradition. it's very rare for the mom to make homemade kimchi. =/ my mom doesn't even know how to make one.

i wish i know how to make kimchi too! but it's not easy. and all i know is u have to leave it in the fridge overnight or something heee...

usually i just buy it. i love kimchi!

kimchi is a type of korean traditional food

interesting though... I got the recipe from some book about Korean food...
when I first started doing Kimchi, it's so difficult to get the right taste!

It's easy to make kimchi.
But hard to make GOOD kimchi.

It's cool how everybody's kimchi tastes different though.
Even though it's fundamentally the same thing.

You take cabbage, cut it, place it in salt water for a night, mix it with paste, gochu garu, salt, etc and then bam.

yeah but it needs time to like.. ripen and turn into real kimchi...

and it's not the sort of thing that you can get one recipe for... everyone's tastes different, depending on what region they came from and etc etc... like my dad's family puts more fishy taste in it than my mom's.

The basic idea is the same as the ones in the replies above...

Its not easy, hope you suceed (: my mom knows how to make it, its takes so long to do all the cutting and what not.
