Organ Donors Who's one?

As for me, I just figured if I happen to die, and my organs are still in tact, someone out there obviously needs them a lot more than I do. I dunno, I just think it's selfish to say no, I want my organs even in death. I mean, what good does that do? But that's just my opinion.

How do you become an organ donor?

They asked me if I wanted to become one after I got my permit. I signed some papers and now it's one my card and stuff. (:

Lol, I never knew getting a permit and donating organs were so connected @_@;
^you can sign the back. however, despite that, some hospitals may not honor it alone (in case of lawsuits). It's best that if you decide to let your family know so that they can honor your wishes.

Yes it is important that family members know your wishes and don't try to block it if god forbid something happened and organ donation became an issue.
I am an organ donor as is every one in my family. We have a personal interest in this because one of the members of my family is an organ recipient. Unfortunately a few years ago a young man we did not know personally, passed away in an accident. His kidneys, heart, liver and corneas were donated. One of those organs was donated to my family member.
Think of it, in the midst of that loss there is at least some comfort for the family in knowing that their loved one potentially saved 4 lives and helped someone else to see.

Maybe others who aren't donors believe their body goes on to the afterlife or somethin and want to keep their heart/kidneys who knows hehe

I don't believe my family is right, but even if they are, I don't care. If I die, at least someone else will live.

My best friend has an organ donor label on his ID card. It's funny because he said no when they asked if he wanted to be a donor. But they put it on anyway.
