Rather than having her hear it on an entertainment news show, or read it in a magazine, Nick Lachey recently decided to get on the phone and tell his ex-wife his plans to marry his current love, Vanessa Minnillo. The National Ledger reports:

According to the weekly entertainment magazine Nick poured his heart out to his ex-wife about his new love and a source tells the magazine he confessed he was headed for the altar. "I'm getting married again, Jess and I wanted you to hear it from me," the magazine reports Lachey as telling Jessica during a 40-minute phone call. According to the report he claimed that there is a good chance they will be married by the end of the year.
And how did Jessica feel about this news? Yeah, you guessed it--not great.
The news came a shock to Simpson. "She knew Nick and Vanessa were serious, but this threw her for a loop," a friend of Jessica's dished to the magazine. "She did her best to contain her emotions."

I hate to say it, but DAMN. Girl, you really messed up when you let your dad get in the way. You're gonna need a lot of ice cream for this one.

When Jess wanted to get a divorce Nick wanted to work it out and seek help with their marriage but she said "no" and after watching their show, I think that Nick is a family guy.

I really don't like Nick and Vanessa together, even though Nick and Jessica wasn't all that great either. But HAH! Shame on you, Jessica (I still pray to gawd that she's not with John Mayer)

Wow...these Hollywood people get married and divorced like it's nothing. Seriously, it's a bit too soon for Nick to be marrying again.

I actually like them together. A lot better than Jess and Nick. I feel bad for Jessica though.

Already? How long have they been dating? Celebs are usually so rush into marriage and not all of them last long. I hope this is not a case with Nick & Vanessa. They seem to be a really happy couple.

eh, sometimes, I feel like Nick is just trying to make Jessica jealous or get back at her for not believing in him. Then again, Jessica is at fault as well. It's wayy too soon for another marriage. It's like a game to all celebs =_=

i feel bad for jessica. i think nick and jessica both still really love eachother...as in, i think they really just needed "time apart" than a divorce.
