i remember awhile back that softbank doesnt use sim cards therefore doesnt work with tmobile
or is that other japanese brands and not softbank?

true some of them are cdma but there are tons and tons of phones that will work with t-mobile. you just need a simhack (hypersim, etc). but keep in mind that a lot of the features won't work like no internet, no TV, no picture/video messaging. also, you need to find .mmf ringtones. i also know several people that have to revive their phones like 4 or so times a day. i honestly don't think it's worth it - you should get a sony ericsson w980 instead. looks very much like a japanese phone.

man thats totally not worth it. i bought a chinese unlocked phone and i got the picture messaging working and internet

i'm telling ya - go for the sony ericsson w980. it even opens up like a japanese phone

see? the top flip (i've only seen that on japanese phones).

Haha, I know nothing about phones, trust me. Probably a lot less than you, and definitely a lot less than the average asian. I just saw it and said, "ooh, it looks pretty". I never even knew that phones went above $400 until i found soompi, where people discuss $1000 softbank phones and whatnot O______O but my dad bought it for me, which was to make up for the fact that he missed my previous birthday and my birthday this year (=

Oh, that's cool! Personally, I didnt want to wait, plus I'm sure it'll cost even more =/ And call me shallow, but I care more about a phone's looks than it's functionality. I know the HD will probably pwn the diamond w/ a million cool features, but I just loooovve the way the diamond looks. And the thing that sold me about the diamond was the diamond design on the back, lol.

weee as I said I just bought the 923SH softbank but at work (Best Buy) the wireless rep from telus are giving us phone to try them out every oine has them for 1 week or 2 and this week we got the Venus to try andin 2-3 weeks we're getting the HTC Diamond so technically i have new phones every 2-3 weeks oh god I love this job and how we're the #1 cell department in canada in sales and everything muahahaha
