I'm thinking about getting a digital camera, but I don't know which ones are good. I want a camera that is thin and easy to carry, but also takes good quality pictures.

im pretty biased, but im gnona say go with a canon
they take great pictures and are decently compact in size
about how much are u looking to spend also
im pretty sure people will also recomend sony cybershots cuz they are pretty thin

ehh..i`m hoping for a camera for xmas. i`ve got my sights set on a sony cybershot dsc n-1. it`s sexy..lol. i looked it up and it seems to be good..but that`s just me.

canon sd series is probably the best of both worlds... compact and great image quality. fuji is also good, and in terms of style/size, sony's are great as well. if you take pictures in good lightning, you probably wont notice the diff between the cameras.

I recommend the Canon SD series too. Depending on your wants/needs, you can easily choose which one best fits your need.

Sony takes great photos too, but they're must more expensive...which is why I wouldn't want one.

well i guess since everyone is recommending an SD, id say the best SD u can get would be the sd 700 with image stabilizing, u have most things u would need (the 800 and 900 are going too much)

Everyone says canon but I say nikon... The coolpix s6 is awesome because it has a 3.0" screen [way bigger than normal camera screens] and it's cheap while it still takes good pictures.

if u want a 3" screen u can get the sd630 (which i have)
takes great pictures and u can get it for less than 300

the other thing i like about canon is that the lag time between pictures is almost nothing, as long as u dont have the preview show. i can take pics almost as fast as a film camera (which is hard to say about many dicas)
