Hey guys! I'm just curious who else was applying to Georgetown from Soompi because it seems to be quite popular and also what school as well! Also since EA decisions were just released, Im wondering if anyone else here is actually for sure going there?

I'm actually looking at a number of other schools, but I think so far Georgetown is my number 1 just because of the School of Foreign Service! Truly one of a kind biggrin.gif

I saw this in some other forums, so if you just want to copy the post of the post in front of you and add your information!

um my georgetown interview was about 30-45 mins? but he had a commitment at 7 which is why we reschedules half an hour earlier for my interview.

i honestly thought it was the worst out of my other interviews for mit, usc, washu, etc but guess it might have helped(?) coz I did get in. and good thing about their interviews is at least they're not "due" by a certain date.

as for dann: my friend had the same situation so she called office of admission and they said they'd contact the alumni chair in her area. but make sure that you've waited for at least a few weeks since you got the card thing.

jess: i doubt you screwed yourself over for GU just coz of the interview! maybe shes just a quick talker? some interviewers are like that. Since we're all required to do one too, i doubt it makes an huge difference =]

=] i had my first GAAP meeting/reception with a current GU student from my area, and I learned so much stuff about georgetown! haha so excited at the possibility of attending there next year!

is this first choice for anyone else??

lol if they gave you an e-mail I'd prefer to e-mail first.

Otherwise, when you're calling them say something along the lines of: Hi, My name is...and I am currently a prospective student applying to Georgetown University's Nursing Health Studies School. As part of the application process, it is necessary that I set up an alumni interview with you as soon as possible.

Usually if they pick up the call, you could just say the beginning and I'm sure they'll respond really friendly =] Coz I mean GU requires all interviews to be done.. so I'm sure they're familiar with it. haha Good luck though!

haha, georgetown just ended up at the end of the list because i wanted to go to my other schools more... does that make sense? lol

i applied to:

UT mccombs school of business - business honors and plan 2 honors - early action (accepted!)
NYU stern - regular
UPENN wharton - regular <-----long shot

my first choice is probably NYU - but I dont know if i'll go there -- depends on the financial aid & any scholarships i can find. otherwise, (realistically speaking), UT is my backup but even so, it's business program is one of the top 10 in the nation, so I feel pretty good going there. =)

where else did you apply business?
