what is with these questions all of a sudden of people asking about what others think of specific bands/artists?
i haven't heard anything by Lincoln Park. what genre are they?
i did however use to listen to Linkin Park. they were my favorite band in my early HS years. they're decent. mainstream stuff. good in my ears. i enjoyed Linkin Park's first album a lot more than their second--which took my awhile to get use to and i had to allow it time to grow on me. still, their Hybrid Theory album was their best so far.

I thought some of the songs from their second album were overplayed...
Lol SinnedAngel, maybe you should make one thread and ask all your questions together..

I like their songs. Its not too hip-hop, and not too hard rock.
I love their song From The Inside. <3
..I actually know the rap part for one of the songs.
I managed to remember it, aha.

Recently the guys said that their new album has a new sound. It's less nu metal now, though it would have been what some would say "safe" to keep doing the nu metal thing. So I'm intrigued to hear what they sound like now. I hope it's not bad.

But hey, they were one of the best selling bands of the 21st century so they must'a done something right.
Now some of them live under rocks, and others rap. Whatev.

I tend to drift from them easily though, I think because they take so long in between releases and waste so much time on other things. Reanimation was great, and the Jay-z album was good for a few listens, but I need something new >_<

i thought they were a decent band, mixing rock with rap and hip-hop beats. an interesting sound which i hadn't heard about at that point in my life (i was about 11 or 12 at the time).
i found that they're Meteora album was easier to listen to than their Hybrid Theory one, but they are both good albums.
Linkin Park provided my soundtrack to when i felt angry about something because of the lyrics and volume. however, i also enjoyed listening to it on a regular basis.
this group was probably one of the many 'rock' bands i got into at a young age. i was still discovering music at the time and am glad that i knew about them as it provided many new doors for me to open, music-wise.
okay, my long rant is over...i think that's a lot of opinions for one post. =S

They're not my thing but I don't mind them. I have friends who listen to them and I respect that. This group has talent though.
