Best/worst Song Covers

So I guess that would be the worst. I can't think of many favorites, except I do love New Order's cover of "Ceremony". NIN's "Dead Souls" is also nifty, but nothing matches Ian Curtis' vocals. I don't know why I'm only naming Joy Division stuff, but yeah.
Jaurim's cover album is also great. Another Day in Paradise, Girl You'll be a Woman Soon, Pennyroyal Tea, Starman, Gloomy Sunday, etc.
I am drawing a huge blank at the moment.

Alone; in five minutes I'll be safe at home...

Original: Andre 3000 - Hey Ya
Covered by: Matt Weddle (From Obadiah Parker)
I hated this song with a passion. I thought it was such an annoying song with a stupid fad in it *shake it like a polaroid picture* but this guy turned this song 180 degrees. Who would have thought this stupid song could be such a thoughtful one with the right voice and with a guitar? His voice is amazing, and to transcribe it for the guitar was an awesome move =) This is probably my favourite cover that switched from one genre to another.
As for other ones, I'd have to think about it some more...=)

I don't usually like Marilyn Manson, but his cover of "This is Halloween" from the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack is the sex. <3
Also, Big Bang's/G-Dragon's remake of This Love by Maroon 5. I fncking hate the Maroon 5 version, but GD's is just so nice. I love it.
Speaking of Maroon 5, they did one godawful cover of Closer by NIN. I just.... ugh... >__<;

My Chemical Romance & The Used - Under Pressure (original by David Bowie and Queen)
Westlife - You Raise Me Up (original by... I don't remember, too many people have covered this song)
No Doubt - It's My Life (original by Talk Talk)
Worst cover songs that I've heard:
Any blink-182 songs that Angels & Airwaves play at their concerts. I know Tom Delonge was from blink-182 before their hiatus, but it's just not right/the same.

Perhaps I'm being biased because I like them so much, but I actually thought Finch's cover of Radioheads "Karma Police" was pretty good. And I've heard a few covers of The Smiths "How Soon Is Now" that have been good.
The MCR/The Used cover of Under Pressure made me want to vomit. I'm sure there are others that have had the same effect but I'm blanking.
and nothing to doubt.

her voice aint bad, but that was made for Mariah and only Mariah.
Whitney Houston covered Chaka Kahn's "Every Woman"
and I liked hers better than Chaka's

and Iron and Wine's cover of The Postal Service's 'Such Great Heights' is great too.
i really like John Mayer's 'Message in a Bottle' as well. its a cover of the famous and classic Sting and Police song.
(ben folds and rufus wainwright did pretty good with george michael's careless whisper too)
