I've been trying to sell my car off and on for a while. Ive had nearly 10 flakers in that time. And a couple low ballers. OBO and Price Negotiable does not mean ill automatically accept an offer of 7000 when im asking 8600 and everyone else is asking 9000-12000 for the same car.
Guy takes out KBB and thinks he knows what hes doing, I take out Black Book and NADA and show him the pricing, jackass still thinks obo and price negotiable is enough backing for me to accept 7000
If you dont have enough money for my asking, dont try to buy a BMW. Go get one with 50,000 more miles and not mine, those will be in their price range.
then the jackass has the nerve to give ME his work, cell, and home phone numbers; like ill ever need it

Just ranting.

Yeah I understand what you mean. It is hassle enough to set up a time to meet up with people, then meet up with them. I had three people say they they really want to buy my car after test driving, but only one person actually meant it. We bargained the price down a bit and we were both happy at the end.

you can say that about a supra, and tell that to the local market, they're going for the same or higher price.

supra's a different story. unlike your 3-series, supras are in high demand.

lol how is Autotrader research?

You can get an auto M3 for the price you're asking. A 5 speed M3 will be like $2000 more.

That doesnt change the local pricing.
And its an asking price, its supposed to be bargained down, but not that much.

What's even worse is when you do sell the car, but the buyer doesn't complete the transfer title and gets a ticket. The ticket goes to my house...

so annoying.

people usually go by the kbb. if your car is not selling, then it is most likey that your price is too high. it doesnt matter what other people put their cars up for, its what the consumers are willing to pay.

u take things to the extremes too much
he said what people are willing to pay, so maybe like 7500 or something, which is closer to what that guy offered
