i dont know too much about the panasonic or casio brands but i do know that you cant go wrong with the canon cause canon produces good quality cameras.. i actually have an older model of the powershot and its served me well.. lots of different functions u can play with.. easy to use and hasnt broken down or anything

I have a Canon Powershot, and I'm pretty impressed by it (although I wouldn't exactly trust its "built-in stabilizer"). It takes great quality pictures. Very worth buying.
The Panasonic Lumix is nice too, but it's more for looks. It's not as convenient as it sounds.
Someday it'll stop hurting so much....

Though all of them look really nice, I'd say go with Canon. They're pros with cameras/photo stuff. Plus, that canon camera you chose has Image Stabilizer, which might come in handy with taking photos that MOVE.

I am using the Lumix and it works fantastic. Mine is all silver with a cute carrying case which gives it a handy look.

Canon is the best and very reliable I must say.

I'm not familiar with Casio, and definately not with Lumix blink.gif

Ehh IMO Cybershots suck butt for the price they're at, and something over 6 megpixels isn't going to make a difference unless you're going to blow 'em up wallpaper size. If you are going to blow up the pictures really big, just got for a professional camera.

I recommend the Canon PowerShot SD600. The SD650 and the one after that are not worth getting. I'm not sure about the newer ones that have come out.

CNet gives you pretty good information and reviews.

i don't feel like creating my own thread so i'm going to kind of leech of this one. i see a lot of people recommending canons over sony and seriously the only reason i want to get a sony is because they look really nice but are canons really that much better in terms of photo quality for the price? is canon the best bang for your buck that is available or is there another brand out there that is even better than canon in terms of price and quality.

im in this dilemma myself dunno which camera to get
canon cameras all seem so bulky and unappealing to me... yet they get the best reviews
