But yeah, a lot of them do remakes songs...most of them are not as good as the original of course.

yeah i get kind of annoyed especially when Wilber Pan does it a lot.
i wouldn't mind of someone made a remake of a song or two but Wilber!
my goodness. i've heard more than like five remake songs by him.

It's bad, but not all of them do that...
Energy, Wilber Pan, and a few more...SHE remakes western pop songs hardly any korean songs.
Mind you these are the "good-looking" idols and can hardly sing a song without going off tune.

There are still a lot of talented Chinese singers and songwriters... so hopefully you don't go passing wrong message to non-Cpop listeners.

Wilber Pan is infamous for the copying. Blah, but there are great non-copied songs in the chinese industry.

yea, I hardly see it among the really talented CHinese singers

you just need to pick and choose who you listen to more carefully

usually idol singers are the only ones who do that, they can barely hold a tune anyway so remakes always turn out bad. listen to some of the talented cpop singers, wang leehom comes to mind. a post like this would probably make a lot on non-cpop listeners bash it without even trying it first

Yeah, Energy had a lot of cover songs >.< Wilber too but I really liked his "Bu De Bu Ai".
The one I dislike most is how Canto singer Bobo Chan did the cover for "Because I'm A Girl".....and the Canto title turned out to be: "Wild Seed". >___<
Such a sad song turned into a song named "Wild Seed". dry.gif

well i think every country does this ..but in taiwan/china especially......THERES SO MUCH >____< ADdfghjglhj...i mean i guess its good cuz they like the song so much they do a cover of it ,but man it gets so annoying!...whenenver I try to dl some new chinese songs i get so irked b/c so many of them are remakes of korean songs ugdfh -____________- anybody else feelin me? ..its like "cant u come up with ur own song!?!?" >____<..(i'm chinese also, i can say this lol..)

hmm just because you're chinese doesn't mean u can justify for whatever it is you are saying. but i agree that there are way too many covers of korean songs from Chinese artists. however, it is not just the Chinese that are copying songs, many other Asian artists cover Asian and Western songs too.

There are also a lot of other original songs and music by other talented Chinese singers. maybe you're looking for quality songs in the wrong singers?

for some quality original Chinese music i recommend Khalil Fong 方大同. He is a very talented musician based in Hong Kong right now. He sings primarily in Mandarin, but he produces, writes, arranges, composes, etc. most of his own songs and he wrote a lot of other good songs for other musicians

and of course Wang Lee Hom who plays a gabillion type of instruments.

Hey SG wannabe took Tension's Timeless at least I think they did.. SG wannabe came out with "Timeless" after Tension... (I love tension's version a lot better)..... it works both ways

I was talking about it with my sis today (she love Wilbar Pan's Bo de bo ai... aka Freestyle's Y apparently it was a hit in Taiwan... ). But maybe they have permission to sing their songs...
anways HK musicians sings quite a few western songs... I've heard chinese "My Heart Will Go On" and "Reflection" maybe it's they belong in sister companies...

Omg, the worse has to be Joey Yung singing Rain's "it's RAINing" song! That was awful.

This post is pretty annoying because it's going to give listeners a very bad impression of C-pop music when it's only a few artists that do that.

I agree with Khalil. He a talented one. Watch out for his new album in January.
