(X)HTML/CSS
http://www.w3schools.com/default.asp
--->Learn XHTML and CSS!<---
XHTML and CSS makes a powerful combination. Check out the examples.
Have these installed on your computer:
- Mozilla Firefox
- Web Developer (Add-On)
Create an .html file anywhere on your computer. Open up that .html file with Firefox, and then use the 'Edit HTML' function from the Web Developer Add-On. Test around the HTML there. After you get the hang of HTML, download HTML-Kit. It's a freeware, and it's a very good program.
Macromedia Flash MX
This book is a good start for learning Flash. I own this book, and I would say this book will get you through the basics very quickly. And have fun while doing it.
Adobe Photoshop
Just get it. It'll be very useful. You don't need any resources. Just play around with it and you'll learn quick.

This is a really good website to help with starting out a website. I recommend this site! I believe it is very helpful and the tutorials aren't as confusing.
www.dynamicdrive.com/
Another helpful site with cool effects for your website.
>> The softwares/programs I usuallly use to make websites/pages:
-Adobe Photoshop: to edited my photos and edited my graphics
-Macromedia Flash: creating my site into flash layout
-Dreamweaver, and Illustrator for my work.
All these programs are kind of pricey...so I suggest getting something like Jasc Painshop Pro for starters. Dreamweaver & Flash are awesome when it comes to doing flashy stuff. If you are a student at a college/university you could
get student discount (this will help save you alot).
