Well I have been using Limewire as my P2P (peer to peer) program to download music and it was working great. However, when I updated to a newer version, problems started to arise when my norton anti virus would keep popping up warnings about worm infections. So it gets really annoying to use limewire when a pop-up pops up every second.

My questions:
-Do you know how to get rid of this problem?
-If not, what kind of other P2P programs do you recommend?
Take into consideration speed of transfer, viruses, spyware/adware, user interface, search results.

Ahh, I hope you weren't breaking copyright laws, because that would be illegal! Especially saying that in such a public manner!

And as for your questions, disable the anti-virus program, although the warning about worm infections should really give you a hint about something. And newsgroups is good for downloading, uh... full albums. Download safely!

Well, in Canada citizens don't have to worry about copyright laws. We are protected from them. Thanks for the reply.

First off, I'd advise you to get rid of this program because it bogs down system performance and it's just plain annoying.
But yeah, try to do an online scan from Trendmicro housecall (google it) instead of using norton
Disable norton when using Limewire, then download.

Torrents are alternatives to album/big file downloads although getting used to them takes patience.
I havn't really used any alternatives to Limewire really; i did use some but they came with adware/BS that i just uninstalled them.

shareaza from shareaza.com you can search emule/edonkey server and other as well. i rarely use it these days.. but my cousin said it's a pretty good program.
