Job searching suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkssssss, especially with the economy. Why did it have to happen when I got out of college. Alot of my friends have also been laid off....they were in really good jobs too.

^ It's true... not only is no one hiring, but they are in the process of firing. This makes matters worse, because now not only are there very few job openings, but there is far greater competition for those openings. Also, younger people with less experience have to be let go first, even if they are top notch. A friend just told me a story of someone they had to let go... he was fresh out of college, but one of those guys that gets stuff done. They would give him an impossible task, and he would do whatever it took to make it happen. They really didn't want to let him go, but they had no choice - everyone else had too much seniority, and upper management wouldn't let them make an exception. Though, I might add, he said that both he and the other managers are all doing whatever they can to make sure this guy can find another good job.

why can't my mother accept the fact that I am 21, not 12? I am a full time college student, I stay at home with her whenever I can, and I've gotten 2 job offers within a few weeks. I'm overall a "good kid". Do I not deserve a break? Am I not entitled to have some breathing room unless I somehow find a way to become a self-made millionaire? Discover a new species?

This Sunday, my boyfriend will be running the Houston Chevron marathon and I won't be there to send him off, greet him at the finish line, or take pics since I'll be out of town. Sure, Laker's can win close games. But championship, I'm somewhat pessimistic about that. Alot of Laker fans, along with sports analayst thought they would win against Celtics but they didn't.

As for the win last night, I thought there were alot of bogus calls from the same ref. not to mention Houston was without two of its main starters, while Laker's had theirs. It really was a good game. I think Houston did a great job with what they had. Van Wafer is sick! He had a hard task along with Battier in guarding Bryant.
