finally saw their mnet japan perf and i have to say that as usual mnet camera work is completely amateurish.

as for the perf, I think that they lipsynced because of YS, probably he isn�t ready to sing live yet. I mean the boys have performed both songs live a lot, so I don�t have any doubts about their live singing capacity. I�m sure that the next time we see them in Japan it will be a live perf with YS showing the Japanese his amazing vocals.

totally agree. the camera shot was really bad. but they did have good performance.

Many singers in Korea debuted originally with the "innocent" image, but changed more to a more mature image through time. See Se7en, BoA, Jewelry from their debut to now. All have changed to a more sexy and mature look to prove to people that they have grown and are not the same "innocent" person. It is the normal thing to do these days.
Hyungjoon is probably showing the crowd that he has matured or just venturing off to show a new side to him. =)

the thing that really surprise me was the last pic. those buff arms suddenly appeared or what.
and to be honest i'm glad that he is workin out, because he looks really hot and maybe it is just me but i'm not fond of that fragile image on men. i know that he is still a kid but he won't stay like that forever. To me the cute baby is still there, its just that we are now starting to have a hotter version of it.
