If so, I recommend Corsair. OCZ has some compatibility issues with some C2D motherboards.

Corsair and OCZ are very siiliar to Oc'ing capabilities
IMO Corsair and OCZ are pretty much the same, I had about 8 sets of Corsair/OCZ Memory modules all been perfect no issues. I just got dominators this time around since its cooling solution, looks cool the dominator Series. And I would personally go with the 6400

well if you're not gonna spend at least $130 for a better mobo then either memory would be fine choices. I'd lean more towards the corsair. Overclocking on an ECS is not out of the question... you can attempt to overclock it using a 333mhz FSB (which is the only overclocking option
I recommend you read the reviews of other people to guage what your options are on this board. http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustRatingRe...e=100&Page=
I generally take newegg's reviews with a grain of salt (mostly because I don't trust most of the people know what they're doing) but they're better than no feedback at all.

all of our custom built computers use ECS mobos XD, including the 1 im using right now =S
anyways..
wat u mean overclocking using a 333 mhz fsb?
i think the only good thing about the mobo would be that it has a cool box
so i guess my build is gonna be: 2 gigs pc 5400 corsair or ocz(takes poll), 7950 GTKO, E6600, and crap mobo
case and hard drive still need to buy those 2 XD
puahahahaha i think it's a pretty good $900 build hahaha.. XD
*finally something i can post under rig pics hahahaha...*

cuz right now im using an amd x2 3800+ and i think that to an E6600 should be way fast enough for me
actually... i just found 2gb corsair PC 6400 for $230..
and the 2gb corsair PC 5400 is $190...
iunno which 1 i should get XD;;
o should i just get 1 gig of ram? o_O o.o
i've got a question about hard drives..
is the speed difference between PATA, SATA, and ultra dma significantly different?
cuz i've got a spare 300 gb Pata in my house and im wondering if i should use that or go buy a different hard drive =S

Depends if you want to overclock in the future ... lol.
To stay futureproof, get the PC2-6400, if not stick with the PC2-5400.
2 Gigs for Vista, 1 Gig if going to stay with XP.
I've never really noticed a difference between PATA And SATA. Not sure about the ultra.

rn't they making a new type of ram? somethign that deals with magnets or something? that supposed to be even faster comes out next summer or something.. i think O_o;; not sure tho =X
future proof means like 3 months hahahahahahahaah XD
ok if there's no noticeable difference between PATA and SATA, then i guess i'll use the spare 300 gig PATA/100 drive in my house and spend the money elsewhere XD
im pretty sure im gonna go vista.. im wondering does vista have support everythign XP has support for? such as games? XDD , cant live without pc games AHAHHAHAHA XD
