In August of 2007, Sarang left BABYVOX Re.v to attend school in Singapore. Sarang's parents felt that being a part of BABYVOX Re.v was getting in the way of her schooling and had her pull out of the group.
HISTORY OF BABYVOX RE.V
Baby VOX, one of Asia's most sensational music groups, who once generated the Korean Wave, has been splendidly revived as BABYVOX Re.v! Their voices are now set to reverberate all across the world.
BABYVOX Re.v made thier debut in January 2007, with the album Ogamusegyung. Having started as a five member group consisting of Ahn Jin Kyeong, Hwang Yeon Kyeong, Yang Eunji, Han Aeri and Myeong Sarang, the new kpop band attracted a great deal of media attention for recieving the blessing of Baby VOX.
BABYVOX Re.v instantly grabbed the attention of music fans with even more powerful and sexier dance moves than the earlier members. Thier debut album featured not only tracks from it's former members, such as Get Up, Killer and Oo Yon, but also six brand new tracks that showcase the unique vocal talents of it's new members. Meanwhile, the so-called 'Shake It' dance stole the hearts of numerous male fans.
Prior to thier debut in Korea, BABYVOX Re.v members, which hold not only good looks, but also impressive singing and dancing talents, embarked on an overseas promotional tour with a mission to make in-roads in to the international music market. Starting off with a showcase in Mongolia in December of 2006, they sucessfully held showcases in other countries such as China and Thailand, enhancing thier status as Asia's representative female group.
However, there was a bit of sad news. One of it's members, Myeong Sarang, left the group to focus on her studies. In order to fill in the vaccuum, the remaining four members concentrated on promoting the follow up song, 'Never Say Goodbye'.
BABYVOX Re.v has also been able to enjoy high public recognition by serving as goodwill ambassadors for various organizations. So far, it's members have been appointed the goodwill ambassadors for Hi-Seoul International, the World Cup Championships, the Korean Army, and the International Peace Force Festival. Furthermore, they have been able to show off thier charms on the catwalk by sucessfully making thier debut as fashion models. Nothing seems to be impossible to these multi-talented members.
However, another blow was delivered to fans when in November of 2007, member Han Aeri decided to leave BABYVOX Re.v to persue an acting career. Shortly after however, two new members made thier debut in a Thailand showcase. Oh Min Jin replaced Sarang as the rapper in the group, and Park So Ri replaced Aeri's role. They've brought a new energy and life in to the group.
In July 2008, BABYVOX Re.v released thier second album, BABYVOX2. The debut single "I Believe" was a pop-techno dance hit. BABYVOX Re.v has used thier popularity to travel overseas to countries such as Iraq, Kuwait and other Eastern countries. All to a huge reception. BABYVOX Re.v truly has continued the name and greatness of Baby VOX.
