i was just wondering which media players you guys use,
i've been using windows media player since forever and thought maybe i should give other media players a try.

I just update my windows media player. It looks a little snappier than the previous one. WMP is easy to use and is pretty much compatible with whatever files I need to play.

Others, VLC, Real Player (don't really use much unless I really have to for a certain file), QuickTime, WinAmp (used to a lot, but not much anymore), sometimes I watch flash videos using Super's (converting program) media player.

Music wise. One of my laptop I use SonicStage, the much hated Sony software. But I like the media player and I don't mind it that much. Everyone probably knows and has iTunes on their computer. Bleh. There's one called something monkey (freeware) that is apparently very good at handling mp3 files, sorting, naming, volume handling, etc. If you have more than 700 mp3 files, it is apparantly a must have. I don't have it yet though. But then I don't really need it.

VLC for things with weird codecs.

iTunes for audio because its really a great music manager.

^ same. I use windows media player because I use the playlist to upload music on my mp3 player...
GOM player's awesome for video... but some reason wmv works better on my wmp.

Itunes and VLC for video although I use quicktime sometimes, on my mac.

On windows I used to use Media Player Classic to watch videos - great for anime etc...

I never even heard of GOM player... must be loosing touch with Windows apps now.

the first media player i ever used was winamp and i really loved it. currently i use windows media but im thinking of going back to winamp.

I use Winamp for my music and most of my movies/anime ^^ I like to see my window player while I'm surfing the net since the skin I have for Winamp can be minimized to a bar<3 I use WMP when I'm playing DVD's on my computer though (most of the time). I use DivX Subtitle Displayer for my dramas/movies with soft subs =D

Itunes for music.
WMP for everything else. I've always found it easiest to use. =)

I use windows media player and/or musicmatch for music. However, I just updated my WMP to version 11 I think it is and I hate the interface. For vids and other stuff, it's Media Player Classic. And to upload songs on my mp3 player, sonicstage.

I use mostly WMP. But also Real Player and DivX Player sometimes to play some videos.
Regarding Winamp, I only use it when I have a good skin that I can't stop looking at! xD

Well, just to listen to normal music, I use Foobar....
Ummm, well before, I use to use WMP but it started to freeze my computer so I downloaded foobar. It also connects to my last fm too!!! ^___^

Winamp for mp3, and I have all my videos defaulted on Windows Media Player, but I get annoyed when I'm on fullscreen and the playbar pops up after accidentally moving the mouse and I have to wait 2-3 seconds just for it to disappear and I'm forced to rewind 6 seconds just to read the subtitle.....that's when I switch over to winamp for watching anime/etc.
