Mucinex (over-the-counter medicaiton) loosens the phlegm in your throat or if you're coughing, it helps to get that mucus up from your lungs. Drink plenty of water and avoid milky products for the time being as it may thicken the mucus.

well, do you just have it now or has it been a while? i had one for like 6 weeks (ack, why didn't i check with the doctor beforehand?) last summer...and finally i went to the doctor who said i had walking pneumonia...! my cousin, who's a doctor, told me it could have been whooping cough, too. wc is staging a comeback...it's going around...so make sure to check that if it lasts for a long time.

I've had a phlegm filled throat since...September o_o. I really need to go to the doctor >>;

i hv it since 16 or 17... until now, im 18 and i hv gotten used to it.

tempory relief it also relive sor throat. Add like 3 spoonful of salt in walter and gargle it, and regergitate ti out do it atleast 4 time. it last for 4 hours until the mucous build up. bascially salt break down mucus

no im not a smoker. i had it for months and always had to do that "ahem" thing but few days ago it got worse to the point where im too sickk =X

I'm sick too with plegmn my mom told me to eat a lime with skin and all. it works, but taste soooo sour.
