I'm a junior that's planning to take the Physics, Math 2, and Literature SAT Subject Tests. But since I haven't taken AP Lit yet, is it absolutely necessary that I take the test before I send in applications to UCs? Or is the Lit SAT subject test doable without the class?

most of the sat II's don't necessarily correlate with AP classes, I'm sure it couldn't hurt, but not necessary. I would go and get a barron's sat II test prep book to help you =] they usually do the trick! and i'm not sure that the UCs required 3 SAT IIs I thought it was just two. =]

it doesn't matter if you take AP literature or not. i took the literature subject test when i was a sophomore and i did better than i expected because i didn't really study. i think it just matters if you're good at understanding how to interpret different literature pieces and know those vocabulary words like what a hyperbole, ode, etc. i can't remember any. -0- but i guess it helps to have take a more advanced class. ^^

i hrd SAT II literature is similar to the critical reading section on the regular SAT's.

i think it's doable without the class. literature is like reading comprehension. if you like, you can take sat II lit in nov or dec of your senior year. just remember to send the results to the schools.
