Plot: In 1692, in the Ipswich Colony of Massachusetts, five families with untold power formed a covenant of silence. One family, lusting for more, was banished; their bloodline disappearing without a trace--until now. This thriller tells the story of the Sons of Ipswich, four young students at the elite Spencer Academy who are bound by their sacred ancestry. As descendants of the original families who settled in Ipswich Colony in the 1600's, the boys have all been born with special powers. When the body of a dead student is discovered after a party, secrets begin to unravel which threaten to break the covenant of silence that has protected their families for hundreds of years.

I went and rented/watched the movie yesterday. I personally thought it was very interesting, because the Salem Witch Trials have always interested me...
Honestly, it's definitely not the most intelligent film, so don't go watch it expecting that. Just sit back and enjoy yourself. Gorgeous guys doing magic (or if you're a guy, pretty girls in sleepwear/towels). I thoroughly enjoyed it myself. (Mmm... Steven Strait is absolutely yummy. )

Lol that part was funny. I watched the move a week ago, and i thought the whole story line was stupid. I don't understand the bit with the girl fixing the glass on his window. I only loved the pool scene. I forgot the main character's name but his body was not as good as the one with the long hair.

Edit: I think it was better kind of movie for you to sit back with a drool bucket ready.

Yeap, Taylor Kitsch's body is better, but Steven Strait is still my favorite. Muahahahahha. o_o; I edited my post with a picture of the pool scene.

saw this movie when it first came out and i was totally in love with steven <333 i was thinking that there was another thread on this, but i think it was in the photo section.

i went to watch sky high and undiscovered after i saw this movie b/c of steven <333 he looks best in the covenant

I really really wanna see this movie. If this is what I think it is, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. But just to be sure, this question is for those who did watch it: It's not gore-y or anything is it? Cause yeah. I can handle blood but not...arms and heads flying about. heh.

Steven Strait. yumm. he was magically delicious! hehe. the plot of the move overall was not that great, it was mostly the boys that i liked. hehe.

I'm debating whether or not I should just go out and buy the DVD, cause if I rented it, I always end up renting a really bad disk with like scratches and smudges over it. Obviously I'd be buying it for the hot guys hahaha. And I have a soft spot for magic/witchcraft movies. Vampires too. Its kind of weird, but I think this movie seems like its totally up my ally.

However, is it really worth 27 bucks? I would love to get you guys' input on this. lol

Every time I see someone post about this on any forum I'm on, they always mention the hot guys. "It doesn't matter how good the film was, the guys are hot!!". "The hot guys make up for the bad acting lol". Actually, they don't.

Plus they are horribly average-looking to me. =/

IMO it's not worth the $27...i mean for that much you can get a better movie, when your taking out the dvd, ask them if they can check the bottom of the DVD for any scratches or smudges and if you do see any just ask fro a replacement.

and to be honest.. i didn't understand HALF the movie.

Saw the movie the other night. Interesting. I'd like to have powers myself. Definitely tho, the guys were hot...and yes...the main character is my favorite. I remember him from Sky High. WooHoo..hehe....

the acting was horrible, the plot was typical, and the special effects were cheesy. i watched this at the theatres and i wasted my money. i wouldnt be surprised why girls like this movie.

I thought this movie was interesting. I watched it for my birthday hangout with my friends. It was funny at the final fight scene between those two guys. All of us were all like "Dragonball Z!" haha. Steven Strait is pretty hot, though.

very ugly movie. we watched it in the office and one by one my officemates leave. XD

it's like a tv movie...effects are corny and overrated (wow! papers suspended in air! XD), seems to be a low cost production. The cast says the word 'power' way too much it was hilarious...guys not as hot as what i thought everyone said they'd be. ~__~ They said this movie is the guy version of 'The Craft'...well, sorry but the craft's way better.

not to mention, the 4 guys weren't that hot either.
