I just got it today and been trying to charge it for the last 5 hours, but somehow it doesn't seem to work. I read it off line it only needs 2 hours to charge it up to 80% and 4 hours to charge it full, so I don’t understand why it didn’t work. I injected into my USB port and there's an orange light shown but when I unplugged to test it, the light turns green for couple seconds and then blink couple of times ( alternate green and orange) and went off. I tried to play the songs, but nothing was playing. I know a lot of you have iPods, and probably experts on it, any suggestions? Please help me out, I really need to get it to work quick, 'cause I have a fieldtrip to Boston tomorrow, long drive.

shouldn't it come charged when you first open it? mine was charged, it needed no charging. you could always go and exchange it and say yours didn't work. Did you instal the programs? but thats not needed to for charging.

i'm an idiot, I put all my songs in the wrong foloder. Thanks for your help though, or else I woudn't have even checked. THANKS AGAIN!
