I listen with headphones on my computer and recently, there has only been sound coming from the left ear and not the right...how do i fix this?

and just so ppl know, my right ear works fine!!!

could be:

headphones don't work - tried them elsewhere?

or

the balance is set to left - check the volume control panel.

or

headphone socket is bust. my stereo suffered from this and i had to wiggle the plug around. i bought a new hifi in the end...
