in the first sentence, está instead of esta. leaving off the accent changes the meaning to 'this Sra. Castellanos.'

BUT you should change it to 'la Sra. Castellanos' if you're talking if she's not the person the letter is to. If you're actually writing to her, start the letter:

Querida Sra. Castellanos,

and then say: Hola, ¿cómo está usted? The Hola doesn't go between the question marks. In Spanish, the first question mark doesn't have to be right at the beginning of the sentence if the entire sentence isn't a question.

In the second sentence, MUCHAS comidas deliciosas, not mucho comida.

Go ahead and cut 'nosotros' out of the third sentence: Fuimos ayer a las caídas de Iguazú. (I've been there, too! Argentinian & Brazilian parts, though. In Brazil, it's Foz do Iguaçu.)

You could say that el tiempo fue hermoso, I guess, but remember that generally the verb hacer is used to describe weather. You could say that the day was beautiful, and that would avoid the problem.

Deseamos que usted pudo gozarlo aquí con nosotros.

If you use "deseamos que..." then you shouldn't just say 'pudo.' say 'pudiera.' Also, you should probably say "Deseábamos que usted pudiera gozarlo aquí con nosotros." We wished you were able. This is something people mess up in English, too.

For my school, I learned the basics of grammar, present and past tense and vocab in year one. I'm in Spanish two and we have to know regular, irregular, a lot of verbs and a lot of vocabulary, stem changing, affirmative and negative, comparisons, reflexives, subject pronouns, imperfect, future tense, superlatives, subjunctive, commands, present, past, direct, indirect, etc. Some are review from Spanish 1. What I heard here was for Spanish 3, teachers will assume you know what you need to know and you need to be able to speak it (better then your past years) and will start writing essays.

I hope this is okay to to post here. My Spanish homework was to be writing a postcard to my spanish teacher pretending to have spent it in Paraguay. I'm in Spanish 2 and my spanish is still a bit limited so i had to go through a dictionaries for words, but i don't know if it would make sense so could someone tell me if it does? And if it doesn't, can you help me by telling me how i should change it?

I was meaning to say:

Hello, how are you doing Mrs. Castellanos?

We are having a very good time in Paraguay. We have visited so many places and ate a lot of delicious food. Yesterday, we have just came from Iguazú Falls. It was a spectacular site and the weather was beautiful. We wish you were here to have enjoyed it with us. We are sorry that you had to spend your vacation in Los Angeles but we hope that you are having a good time too.

it shoul be " Hola, ¿Cómo le va Sra. Castellanos?


Nosotros lo pasamos muy bien en Paraguay. ---> That's in past tense. if you are meaning to write "we are having a very good time in paraguay" (which is present tense), you should write "Estamos pasandola muy bien en Paraguay" (I omited the word "nosotros" since its already implied in the word estamos")

Hemos visitado tantos lugares y comimos mucho alimento delicioso. ---> write muchos instead of tantos. Also, you should consider to change the part "comimos mucho alimento delicioso" to "comimos muchas comidas deliciosas". The word "alimento" is not completely wrong, but its not being used in the correct context. Its like saying "and ate a lot of delicious aliments."

Fue un sitio espectacular y el tiempo fue hermoso --> the word weather in spanish is "clima" , so just changed the word tiempo for clima =D

Deseamos que usted estuviera aquí, lo haber gozado con nosotros ---> Change "haber" for "hubiera", since you are speaking in past tense. Also the word "disfrutado" is more apropiate than the word "gozado", but nevertheless, the word "gozado" can be used as well, is just that is not commonly used in that context ^^.

Somos arrepentidos que usted tuvo que gastar sus vacaciones en Los Angeles--> it should be written like this: Lamentamos que tuviera que pasasr sus vacaciones en Los Angeles

If you need any more help, just let me know, I know spanish is hard, grammar is quite complicated and even people that speaks spanish as his first language have a hard time learning the grammar and such =x ... It is really annoying to have like 10 words for the same thing and accents, and i don't know how many more punctuation signs U_U

english is so much easier I swear XD XDDDD
