My friend chipped his tooth in high school. He got it fixed after a lot of people said it looked freaking weird and ugly. It looks weird for the first few days because there is a really white bright corner, but then after a while it changes to a normal shade.

seems like it :) how old are you, 13?

it's not nice to be hitting on 17 year olds who have boyfriends already.

my brother chipped one of his front tooth.. it was chipped in halfish crooked.. but good thing it wasn`t his whole tooth
the dentist helped add one a piece of new tooth.. you can see a line on that tooth >""< but later on it is better.. even tho` there is still a line but you have to be close to see it. it can easily be infected when it is chipped, so dentist might tell you to buy products for the tooth and stuff.. and you have to see the dentist sorta often depending the situation so he can look at the tooth agane

and boy it is expensive~~~

I've got mine done. The shade/everything looks perfectly fine now.
Don't worry about it... nobody will know unless you tell them smile.gif

I chipped my front tooth in the 4th grade >< It was just a tiny corner though and got it fixed later that day. A month ago, I woke up with like a rock thing in my mouth and spit it out while I was brushing my teeth. Later on, in the car ride to school, I freaked out I had that chipped tooth :[

But anyways, I'm in 10th grade now. So it's been hell of a long time and Nope, it won't look weird. I only freaked out cause I was like WTF happened?! but later remembered about the chipping tooth incident.

i had the same probelm!!
i chipped my tooth somehow (no clue how though^^) and @ first i didn't really care, but my mom nagged and nagged me to get it fixed. i thought it was going to be painful and ugly and awkward...i held out~~ and then we went to korea where my mom suggested i get it done (it's cheaper and faster in korea). it wasn't painful or ugly!! it turned out really natural and the dentist was really nice. he actually sat me down along w/the nurse and explained to me that there are two different ways to get it done. They can actually just kind of add this plaster-ish thing on or they can use this other option...but i forget..sorry
anyhoo, my point is that you should definitely get it done! at first i was really hesitant too, but after i got it done, it looked so much better!

I chipped both my front teeth when I was younger, and had them fixed a couple of times. It's good because the filling lasts quite a few years (I've only had my touched up once within 10 or so years), and looks completely natural. People don't know unless you tell them.

yeah I had a huge chip on my front tooth that I got when I was young. It didn't bother me because I kept it like that for years. Then years later, as I was getting a filling done, they filled in my chip too. It's been a while and I never needed a touch up or anything. my teeth definitely do look better now, especially in pictures.

I chipped my tooth a few months ago during fencing practice because I took my mask off and obviously, I wasn't supposed to. I had a heart attack and yelled at the guy for a good few days but then I went to get it fixed. You really can't tell at all because your dentist will match the colour of your original tooth. No one will notice unless you tell them. I've heard that if you don't get it fixed, however, it's extremely bad for your tooth -- there's a possibility that it can continue to wear away as the years go on.
