Hmm. Question. I need to bring my usb flash drive to import an image onto a classroom computer at school. Will the computer recognize the file even though it has not downloaded the program my usb has? Or would I need to download the program onto that computer? If that makes sense. Thanks!!!

So is your concern about program compatibility?
Basically the flash drive is like a floppy disk. You copy a word.doc file into your thumbdrive. If the computer you use it on doesn't have word, you can't read it.
It will plug in and work on just about any computer without issue or configuration.

unless that "program" is a security program of some kind, yeah, it will work.

Just make sure the computer you're plugging it into can support those files.
Like what awdark said, if you save a word document on your own computer, make sure the other computer has the same word processor or it won't be able to read the file.
