I've been looking around, even on the prelude forums.

I can't seem to find skyline conversion directions ~.~

Hey if you're not gonna help out on the topic, don't reply stupid

Main Entry: ric·er
Pronunciation: 'rI-s&r
Function: noun
: a kitchen utensil in which soft foods (as boiled potatoes) are pressed through a strainer

yea, I'm a ricer dry.gif

Why why why is it SO hard for some of you speed demons to realize that there are people who like to roll around in style?

I don't need to start the ricer and speed and all that other bullcrap debate, it's already been done numerous times.

Show some respect kid.

bwahaha respect? ok "kid". internet respect...yea...
good luck with your "project"

and guess what mr ricer, such "conversions" are 99% "custom"-------means NO INSTRUCTIONS.
Meaning----- you better know how to do body work and weld, or have deep pockets to send it to a rice shop- ~cough~ excuse me, a custom shop for someone to do all the work for you.

if you think there is a ...what do you call it? a "bolt on kit", then you have more research to do.

Thank you for the useless information, hot shot speeder.

"Prelude forums used to have it."

If you could read you'd be a crash-genius.

I'm not bagging on your 500hp car am I? I'm here because, well, it's a car forum and maybe someone might know where to get the information. If you're not gonna help and you're gonna be a jack@ss then what the hell is the point in replying?

a ghetto skyline conversion on your prelude is not rolling around in style. thats driving a tacky riced out car in bad taste.

Let's pretend I decided to go all out speed. This is a 94 Honda Prelude we're talking about. Yea cool, my lude is 500 hp, -.- my @ss. A 4th gen prelude with such high hp, definitely possible, much work needs to be done, and the possibility of it lasting, low. Now if all succeeds and everything maintains itself. Compare this 94 prelude to the more recent make modified cars. Thumbs down. So if I ever earn the fastest prelude in the city, what's in it for me? Recognition from other prelude guys? I don't need that, it's pretty fruit of the loom. Quarter mile, fast, cool. NOT

If you guys race your cars on actual tracks, respect to ya. If you're just on the street or running quarter miles, you're lame.

Now I'm just trying to work with what I got, it's my car, I do what I want.

If anyone has any sources please provide. So simple yet so difficult.

K, I'm a ricer, great, thanks. I want my ricer trophy now.

All I want is help.

have lots of money.
find a skyline clip. pay big bucks for it.
have even more money.
pay someone to hack and slash then re-weld your car.
have more money for repaint.

done!

end result:
prelude that's still a prelude and has a skyline front-end on it.

final verdict:
waste of money, probably could've bought put that money towards an r32 with it instead and be on your way to having a real skyline.

Damn. I was looking more rear end conversion.

But anyway, I give up on the source here lol.

I'll take my ricer trophy and abandon the topic for you guys, pat yourselves on the shoulders.

honestly you shouldnt have expect much help from here in the first place. but without the criticism, someaznguy is correct. and please dont say "If you guys race your cars on actual tracks, respect to ya. If you're just on the street or running quarter miles, you're lame." I know many greats cars and people who show off their car and not race it but still have the speed to back it up.

well everything to do with the front end conversion has been settled. it wouldnt make much sense to do a rear conversion would it? bodylines being too different. you do realize that your4th gen lude is a hatch right? and the skyline has a full trunk. so uhhh what were you planning on doing? in any case the entire thing is ridiculous. you doing a conversion from the prelude to a skyline look, is as dumb as an asian guy trying to pretend hes black. either way, whatever you do, its going to be a piss poor imitation. grow up. take some pride in the car you bought. otherwise maybe its time for a new car choice.

I thought I'd leave the topic but wow...I do have to reply to you buddy.

You basically displayed no knowledge. The only thing that made sense was your insult, which in all, was as dumb as your ignorant reply. Everyone else at least had a purpose, displaying their love for speed. You...?

You didn't just call preludes, hatchbacks did you?laugh.gif

Trust me...if this prelude was a hatchback I might actually invest everything into speed. But no, it's a 3000lbs front wheel car.

These are rear end conversions.

yea...this is a hatch dry.gif

you're kidding me right?

No more flaming or criticism. Dj AwDaMaDDiX wants some suggestions, not opinions if it is rice or not. If you don't like it, don't reply. If you want to help him out, feel free to help him out. Sorry Dj, and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forums, well I'll just start by saying that all preludes are coupes and are not hatchbacks. If i were you, i would just leave your car the way it is. But if you really wanted to do this conversion, you should check out some 4th gen prelude forums and search around there to see who has done it before. But it's your car and you should just do what ever you like. Honda-tech and preludepower are just two of many who are known as a forum who have sections for all gen preludes. But i doubt they have anything regarding this conversion, since they are mostly into performance or oem/jdm parts. But there are actually some with your taste on those forums. So it doesn't hurt to just search. Btw 1/4 and track racer's should be both respected. There may be some out there who have the fast and the furious attitude but then there are also people who race their car's to learn more about their car's and about their lines. Also they may do it to compete and also are trying to improve there driving abilities. It's all about fun, and experience, and you shouldn't look down on a sport without actually experiencing it. So keep it safe and hopefully you find what you were searching for.
