What a way to start the year!!

Today's sales:

x->1->1->1->1->1>1 - Arashi - 214,618 + 135,103 + 51,063 + 27,343 + 38,015 + 31,214 = 497,356

Only a little more until Arashi breaks the half-million mark~ looks like they're going to do it by tomorrow.

It's an exciting time to be Arashi's fan right now . I didn't get a chance to watch their Hey!x3 performance yet, but looking forward to it.

approx 502,000 is the tally for first week's sales and they of course ranked #1 this week!
(Oricon weekly charts measure first 6 days, and 502,000 is the adjusted figure of the 497,356 estimated total recorded yesterday)

This is excellent sales coming at a time when the Japanese music industry has been experiencing severe decline in sales
..the last time any single by any artiste broke 500,000 in its first week was when KAT-TUN released 'Real Face' 3 years ago.

And for Arashi themselves, the last time their single sold more than 500,000 in its first week was their debut single [A.RA.SHI] in November 1999. yup it's been that long!
