too bad the search engine on s2ki fails at life, really makes that site an inconvenience
well the pistons speeds would be quite high (the piston speed of the f22c @ 8k is about the same as the f20c @ 9k) and stress rises exponentially with rpms. while it may be ok to run it that high i wouldnt risk it. plus it probably wouldnt make any power there because with factory cams and ecu its not meant to go that high.

would you care to support your claim with some data. after all its hp, not torque, that determains acceleration. low torque can be made up for with gearing (gearing will multiply torque). and in the case of the f22c vs the f20c being able to hold the revs for an extra 1000rpms can be advantageous. if torque were truely more important than hp all race engine would make more torque than hp, but they dont. truck motors do that...
dealing with the f20c vs f22c it doesnt really matter. depending on the turn one or the other will have the advantage. sometimes you need more power to pull out of a corner, sometimes you need to be able to hold the gear for that last little bit. the motors are too similar to definitively say one is better than the other

and to add on to akira, a lot of s2k owners, well not a lot, but those that love to modify and still feel that the torque-less-wonder still needs better gearing often just swap out their final drives.
