Hmmm ... I was searching for a new MP3 player (after mine got stolen) and came up with these two:

The iRiver Clix or Samsung YP-T9.

They're both $200 and are both 4GB. Just found out today that iRiver made a 4GB Clix.

So ... which, in a soompi member's honest opinion, is the better MP3 player?

I'm leaning towards the Clix. Although it has less battery life, it has a bigger screen ... and I'm a pretty big fan of iRiver.

The Clix, according to the iRiver site, is sold out until February 8th ... but I can wait ...

if you like the clix then get it. i recall it getting a very high review score on cnet. so it must not be a bad mp3 player. i dont like how thick it is though. i saw the clix while at wal mart a couple of days ago, so you just might want to check that place out soon.

Most people would probably choose the Clix over the YP-T9... I think. lol

I have a YP-T9 and it's perfect for me...

But honestly, I would've gotten the 4GB Clix if only it was available when I got my Samsung. =X

I have the U10 [older version of clix?] and I love it, especially with the cradle- it looks like a cute mini TV or something >_< The videos are clear too ^__^ Oh yes. And battery life is great ^__^b

Or is there a big enough plastic screen protector to use on it? o_o I've been wondering if I could exchange my YP-T7 (even though it's fine lmao) to Best Buy (if they let me) for a T9 or a Clix. The bigger screen for the Clix kind of worries me though because of the fingerprints/scratching-ness.

I put a screen protector over it and it's fine. I don't know what it would be like without though, because I put the protector on as soon as I took off the protective film that came with it.

i'd go for the clix ... samsung aint bad too but iriver is better

Between those two, clix, because it has a bigger screen. The battery life shouldn't matter if you charge it like everyday or every couple of days.

I see ... I guess everyone likes the Clix.

The only downfall of it to me is that's is pretty big compared to the T9 ... but I think I could live with it.

What places sell screen protectors anyway?

Well....I think the Clix 2 is coming out in the first half of '07. It does a lot of stuff and obviously better than the original. Price has not been released yet.

I say wait until the price and release date is released to decide.

I'd wait for the Clix 2. Or at least, that's what I'm gonna do. The Clix 2 just looks too awesome. You don't wanna regret buying the Clix, when you could've gotten the Clix 2, right? *sigh* Technology just keeps getting better and better.

i like the iriver just because it looks nicer and more high tech. plus, its a solid black = sexy :D
