Korean phones only CDMA. Verizon is going to release 2 Korean phones this year that doesn't look like it was messed up. You could get a Korean phone on Verizon service from a store called OK Cellular, but it's in CA.

You could buy some Samsung or LG phones that are GSM, but usually it sucks compared to the one's in Korea. For example, the LG Shine is going to come to the U.S., I think, and it's GSM, but it'll cost a lot if not with a provider.

All in all, Korean phones work with CDMA. Unless you want the Americanized phones from Samsung or LG.

But... they've BEEN releasing Korean phones. Chocolate is originally from Korea as well as a bunch of their Samsung phones [my Samsung A990 is actually a DMB phone in Korea but they got rid of the DMB =___=] The phones that Verizon releases are Korean but they're modified to be Verizon [which means they change the user interface into that ugly red crap and take out great functions].

Just don't forget, if you want to use the TV streaming feature, it'll most likely cost a lot.

You could always hack the phone to change the skins and stuff, but it seems that it rarely happens with LG or Samsung. Only Motorola gets all the fun hacking.

First, you would need to know what to do. Need softwares, data cable, and steps if you don't know how to do it.

I don't know anything about LG's or Samsung's since I haven't used there Americanized phones yet.

they have it, custom firmwares for that, but you need the serial data cable, not the usb.
