okay, so starting from a few weeks back, i couldn't play any games (flyff, maplestory) and i couldn't install anything, whether it be the 10 days trial of WoW (T_T) or an update on flash players.

so i see this thing called "PC-Doctor" and i run a few tests.
both of my processors failed three tests.

what do i do to fix this problem? o_o
what i don't understand is.. how am i able to run IE 7, aim, winamp, and download stuff on clubbox and whatnot?

This doesn't look right.

Have you been doing anything out of the ordinary these past few weeks?

What desktop do you have?
We all wear masks. Everyone, everyday... sometimes we wear them so much, we forget who we really are. And sometimes if we're lucky, someone comes along and shows us who we really want to be, who we should be.

Tumblrrr.

If its a notebook... and you want to play those games.. =[ im sorry. There is no fix.

If its a desktop, and you want to play those games... and you need a video card sad.gif im sorry, it will cost you about $130...

wait wiat wait.. did it ever work? if it DID work at one time, then you have me confused =]

Those failed tests... Seems to scream AMD drivers to me...

Hi,

it would be a good idea to take screenshots of all the different errors you're getting. Just so we know what we're dealing with here.

cheers,

well bascically, i'm still getting the same thing with the pic up there.
except now, for the AMD FPU Test, i'm getting a "internal error" instead of a "fail" now.

and also.. i have a screenshot of this... thing that's not letting me finish a download.
(although song downloads, driver downloads and whatnot still download)

Tell me.. is this computer built by someone... or bought in a store?

crazy.gif I wonder if its like overclocked and clocked wayy too far to cause premature processor failure.

hmmmm that's not good. could indicate HD failure but it's too early to tell. For your next screenshot you should download this program CPUZ:

http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-138.zip

Unzip it somewhere, run the program, take a screenshot of the entire CPUZ window.

Also please take a screenshot of the following window (in case there are problems with the first screen shot): Right Click on My Computer, Properties, General, and ensure the entire window is visible.

Ya, I second that, it appears like crappy sectors on the hdd or something is failing, hardware-wise. Coming from a guy who sunk 3 hard drives in the past 6 months. And follow through with cpu-z so we can check all of the stats on your processor's readout.
I am the minority here.

OK great everything there looks good. You're not running an overclocked PC and it looks like it's a HP Pavilion and it seems pretty recent so you are under support. However, support probably sucks so I think it's a good idea for us to keep trying to help you smile.gif

To determine if something is wrong with your HD do the following:

1. Press Start, Choose Run
2. Type cmd.exe
3. A Black window will appear. Enter the code exactly, and then press enter:

chkdsk /f

4. It will ask a question. Type Y and then Enter
5. Type exit, and then Enter
6. Restart your computer. It should do a disk check - do not press any keys until it has finished. If there are issues it should try to fix it.

Before you do anything like that, I would try to back up any important files first.

OK try chkdsk /f /r - It will look for bad sectors.

I think you need a new HD though. How often do you throw your computer at the wall? That might explain HD failure...

By the way can you take a screenshot of all your drives in Explorer? I want to see what HDs you have.

I say open the side of your case, turn the computer on and see if the fan on your CPU is spinning or not. Check to see if any other fans have stopped working too.

Hi,

if you press the windows key + E at the same time, it will open up Explorer and show you the disk drives on your computer. Please take a screenshot of it.

Did you do the new chkdsk command?

I'm having as much fun as you trying to get Windows Vista to work. smile.gif

Download speedfan 4.31 here:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_speedfan/

Go to S.M.A.R.T as shown here (sometimes you have to click on that white box if it displays nothing):

and take a SS. I want to see something.
