After you're all finished with your degree... do you plan to work abroad or stay in the US? Why?

I have some friends planning to go to Japan after they finish their business studies or go to China after they finish their degrees.

I'm planning to work abroad after I finish my studies. I changed my major from Architecture to Civil & Environmental Engineering. I think I'd make a lot of money here in the US if I worked here... but I really would like the chance to work in the Philippines and help out my hometown and Philippines too. Not sure if I'd make as much, but I think it'd be more satisfying? My friends think it's a dumb idea because I'd be making less.

I'm a premed and only a freshman in college but after almost a decade when I'm a doctor [hopefully... =/////=] I hope to work in Korea for a few years. I haven't lived in Korea since I came here in 3rd grade so I want to. All my family's there too except my mum and brother.

To become a doctor, its going to be a long long long time. I will defintely work in the US to gain some experience and work there for a bit, but I would like to travel to different countries to help them out such as Africa, Asia, or South America. I don't really want to live there unless I fall in love or something, I prefer to stay in the US because it is home.

In my life time, I would love to go teach abroad after finishing college. I'm an elementary education major with a teaching english as a second language minor. I would love to go teach in Japan, Thailand, or S.Korea. smile.gif

i think id try and work in the US and get transferred or something, within the company.
it'd be hot to go abroad and work in asia.
Shanghai, Seoul and Hongkong would be ideal places.

i'm working abroad right now.
i say go for it, but look into the place first.
you want a company that will help you out when you need it.
i write an important thing, and do not let's finish. a way of writing for freedom.

If you're planning on going abroad, I would suggest first getting at least a few years of experience here in the US. That way, you'll be more likely to get hired in a better paying job. Going abroad especially to Asia is expensive!

Definitely, I would go work abroad plus work in US. Cux I like to travel around to different places and meet different kinds of people. I would love to go to Europe, Asia, Australia, Japan, Korea, and many more places. Since I'm a business major, I'm going to work for a company that has different locations and many different clients. HEHEHE....I actually dream of being a flight attendant cux they get to go to different places and such but I prefer to become a business manager because it's more practical and earn much more money.
