Does anyone watch this show, or is it just me? This guy is a freaking stud! He's climbed Everest, has broken his back a few times, is ex-British special forces, circumnavigated the North pole in an inflatable raft, and the list goes on...

Anyway the show is really interesting, they drop him off in harsh places where tourists get lost and die etc with just a knife and his camera crew and he shows you how to survive tongue.gif He's been dropped in the middle of the ocean, in the Alps, some scorching hot desert, and more O_O

Here are a few of the immortal feats of Bear
Pissing on this shirt and wrapping his head with it to stay cool
Hopping in a frozen lake is no harder for Bear than combing his hair, then he strips naked in snow to get his wet clothes dry and the HEAT up!
Biting and eating a raw fish because he couldn't get a fire going in the snow--need I say he's more hardcore than Gollum?
Robbing a bird's nest and scarfing down the eggs for sustenance
Picks and eats maggots from an animal body and "saves some for later"

Bear Grylls totally owns Mother Nature every episode. If you watch this show, you're guaranteed to be cooler just by laying your eyes on the manliest of men.

Combine Chuck Norris and Superman and THIS is what you get! Did I mention he ate off of a freaking zebra carcass? DAMN!!

It might be somewhat artificial, what with his crew following him around, but it's interesting smile.gif

This guy is freakin` crazy. If I were stuck on a deserted island, this is one of the guys I would love to have on the island with me.

That show rocks! Funny how I thought I was the only one who watched it as well smile.gif

Good information, but really useless to anyone who doesn't go camping/hiking/live in any of those environments.
I'd like to see an urban version of the typical survival show - like how to escape from the trunk of a car,
what do do in case of a terrorist attack (like if you were on the 100th floor of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11), how to watch your own back in case you end up in prison, defending yourself from muggers, etc.

Thoughts?

wow those ar seriously good suggestions!! but I dun think the info fr this show is useless though...we never know...like if we ar on some vacation and end up stranded or what nots... it's soo rare an occasion that it'll be good if I can retain any of those skills and pointers Bear gave us. (But I myself can't remember anything when he's soo freaken hot... yeah...he takes off his clothes and I cant hear anything any more wub.gif I still rem that image of him when he's dipped in some lake in a snow mt and he took off EVERYTHING after getting himself wet in lower than arctic temp!!!)

I'm sorry this is a seriously good informative show but Bear turns me into a pure pervie.

yay!
a bear grylls thread!
even though this show is good to watch for information...let's all admit it:

watching for bear is educational too, right?
educational information about manly men... w00t.gif

are you guys watching the second season premiere this friday?
"mandy, as in mandy patinkin?"

I plan on it.
I feel so weird every time I see the commercial, because seeing him struggle out of quicksand just looks so hot to me. Is that strange? unsure.gif

Did anyone watch the episode with Will Ferrill?? It reminded me a lot of 1n2d and family outing. Bear should def get more celeb guests.
