I just recently noticed that you can actually see my head/skull when i have my hair down...even from faraway
i don't know if it's normal or not, but it looks gross =[

during the winter two years ago, i got really scared and went to see a dermatologist because the huge amount of hair that was falling out everytime i wash my hair. The dermatologist told me that it was due to the lack of iron so she gave iron tablets to take. I got better pretty quick so i thought i was ok

you can see better when it's up close =(

after i noticed this i have a feeling that i'm gonna go bald when i get older
am i worrying too much?
my mom told me to stop blow drying my hair, but i don't think that can be done ph34r.gif
if this is not normal i'm thinking about taking iron pills again

it's either you dyed your hair too much or just lack of iron.

Do one of your parents have really thin hair? Because it could be genetic. If not, then you're probably lacking iron like what your doctor said tongue.gif. Also, don't tie your hair up too much. Supposedly, too much tension on your hair line can pull your hairline further back! You could also try to switch your shampoo and conditioner.

it looks kind of scary .. but don't worry, as long as you're not excessively losing hair then you should be fine. it could just be genetics or something.

i don't think it's genetics, both of my parents have a lot of hair
my grandparents seem to have even more hair than they do, they're in their 70s and still have a full head of hair

it's just me, i guess i'm the obnormal one in the family lol

about not dyeing my hair, i want to, believe me
but once you started, it's hard to stop cuz it looks funny when the top of your hair is one color and the bottom half is another
i thought of dyeing my hair back to black, right now i'm trying to find the right color so it won't turn out to be too dark or too light

I used to have that problem about dyeing my hair too! Black hair dye usually fades REALLY quickly, so I'd settle for a dark dark brown if I were you. I dyed my hair black once, and it faded so I ended up redying it black AGAIN a few months later...it faded once again. Then I tried dark brown, and so far, I haven't redyed it yet.

DO NOT start taking iron supplements again if you don't take a blood test. If you take too much iron (and your iron levels in your blood rise above normal) then you can get a lot more health problems. Go to your GP and take a blood test first. If your iron levels are low, start taking the iron supplements with your GP's approval.

If you suspect actual hair loss, make sure to rule out a few things. firstly, ask your dermo to rule out hereditary hair loss. Its no big deal...they just take a strand of hair and look at it under the microscope. Apparently if its hereditary the hair will be finer near the roots.

If its not hereditary, ask about alopecia areata. If you are losing hair at a small spot on your head instead of evenly all over, you might be at the beginning stages.

yeah, most people dont need iron supplements unless they're anemic or something so take a finger prick test.

honestly, i think it's just "all in your head" (from the other people's reactions to your picture, i cant see it). if it bugs you that much, take biotin supplements, makes your hair stronger (of course, it takes a while to notice it's full effects since hair and nails grow so slowly).
