TOKIO HOTEL is a group of rock consisted of 4 young German (average of age about 18 years), among which the guitarist and the singer are twins.

In 2001, Bill and Tom ( the twins) meet the bass player Georg, and Gustav, the drummer, during a concert in Magdeburg. Sets(groups) they Devilish (who means "Demonic" in French) who will become later Tokio Hotel. Six months later, Tokio Hotel plays in numerous clubs of Magdeburg and surroundings.

In 2004, Tokio Hotel begins to work with a team of producers and lyric writers of Hamburg which noticed them during one of their concert: Peter Hoffmann, Pat Benzner, Dave Roth, and David Jost, which(who) will contribute to return the more professional approach. Hoffmann, Benzner, Roth and Jost composed, produces, and remixed for numerous artists: The Doors, Falco, The Corrs, Sarah Brightman, Faith Hill...

Directly propelled at the head of the records of sales with the single Durch den Monsun (Literally " Through the monsoon ", what we can translate by " to Cross the storm "), the group settles down and monopolizes the place of number one of for the weeks. A golden disc in Germany and one in Austria follow. Their second piece, Schrei (Shouts) is also golden disc in Germany. The German group is being imperative(leading) bit by bit in France.

The deafening success of this group can explain on one hand by their personal style, as much at the musical level as at the level of the behavior (their nature in front of movie cameras of the journalists and their spontaneity notably. The singer mainly possesses an incredible charisma). On the other hand, their incredible ease on scene(stage), justifies the craze of the fans.

Outside the new generation, they express themselves with heart; tackled issues in their songs are for the most part of the lived, or at least studied with seriousness: the divorce, the life after the death, the loving disappointment, the solitude...

I love~~~ Tokio Hotel! Even though they're severely looked down upon by many and made fun of and everything... <<; I've learned not to care. They're a talented group of people (and Bill Kaulitz is ridiculously pretty *-* I love his voice XD ) I didn't know about an English album though! Wonder how that'll go down. Can't wait!

I actually just recently got into Tokio Hotel thanks to my cousin who is a complete fangirl over them XD I enjoy there music though it's a bit lacking in diversity I do like all the themes though it's just interesting (and the whole foreign side of it just makes me like it even more XD though I like their english cd Scream as well : D ) and I think the twins are adorable!

I would gladly go see them in concert if they would only come to Canada T____T Or if they'd come back to Poland when I'm there again >>; lol

Oh, I used to love this band xDDDD.
I even was the president of their Official Spanish Fan Club rolleyes.gif. My best friend founded it and asked me to helped her, so I happily did. I left a year later. But she still is part of the fan club, and met them a year ago.
I am not that crazy about them now. I still listen to them sometimes, though. Der letzte Tag <3333
Gustav is love.
