My computer has been having some problems with pop ups and spyware recently. What's the best free Antivirus program for Windows XP?

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

Use these:
- http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1
- http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html
- http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Dest...tml?tag=lst-0-1
- http://www.ccleaner.com/download/
- http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

And use Firefox as your browser:

Hope that helps wacko.gif

Hmm you may wanna checout Antivir too, it one of the good free antivirus out there, besides AVG.
You can check it out here;
www.free-av.com/

And of course, using Firefox as a browser will give you protection against adawares and you can also try Lavasoft's Ad-Adware.

I second the recommendations for AVG and Avast.
Both are really good smile.gif

I've been using AVG free antivirus for years. Its a great antivirus software but unfortunately, the company will be discontinuing the free service sometime in February. Too bad.

A lot of my friends use AVG and tell me it's really good. I've used NOD32 for quite awhile now and everything has been really good so far. Another one i heard from a friend which is really good is BitDefender.
