how do you guys type stars and hearts and other symbols? i couldn't seem to figure it out...

i usually just c&p from character map; easier than remembering codes. but i know that you're supposed to like, hold down alt & press numbers on your numpad.

much easier to just c&p i reckon.

Hold ALT key then press 3 for the heart symbol

But a heart is ALT+3 on this forum.

Start menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map

It's a 'map' of how each characters in a font look like.

Edit: By the way, the "3" in ALT+3 is referring to the number pad. (The right side of the keyboard. Remember to turn on Num Lock!)
