1. The zune can't read anything other than English [at least right now] and that was the biggest disappointment for me because I thought universal language support was a given these days. Guess not. It sucked a lot for me because all my music was in boxes since I only listen to Korean music... X_X
2. The zune's screen size is larger than an iPod [even though they're both 320x240pixels] and that's a huge advantage because it's almost like a PMP [at least for me] -- the suckiest part is having to convert everything to wmv [like mpeg for iPod but they have videora and zune doesn't].
3. Zune's wifi thing is pretty cool [like sharing music and stuff] but they haven't developed it enough so that you could transfer music from your computer and stuff wirelessly which is a waste of the wifi. Plus not that many people have a zune so you can't share music anyways. At least for me.
4. I love how zune can use any picture as a background... I don't know it just made it more personal.
5. The zune doesn't have a clock on it whatsoever. That means no alarm X_X
I seriously love the zune but I hate it at the same time because it can't read different languages... Plus it's unknown in Korea since there's no plan to release it worldwide which is kind of cool when I take it over there +_+ But they seriously need to fix the language thing.
At the moment I think iPod wins because iTunes is much more developed [and has a lot more content than zune marketplace] but if microsoft fixes a couple things it could take on the iPod... Maybe make a slight dent haha...

it's so embarrassing to say you have an ipod these days, everyone has one, they are so overrated.
so definitly Zune is the way to go, you can be one of the first to have one
the screen is way bigger than an ipod, they have sexy colors and everythign about it is BETTER! accept I liekd the scroll thingy on the ipod, but who CARES right?

since the ipod is compatible with the ps3
and if you stick in the zune then the ps3 will keep telling you unknown component

I charge my ipod video each evening - after a year I think the battery is fine. During a quick test I can get 4.5 hours of continuous video playback - enough to watch a film, top gear and 4 episodes of will and grace
Zune vs Ipod - It all depends on what you want. Here's a good comparison of the two:

Creative Zen M - Best DAP right now on the market.
Shows a couple hundred thousand more colors than an iPod video and better batter and sound quality.
People say its big but its like the same size as a 3rd generation iPod? Please as long as it fits in your hand and pocket its good. LoL

I agree. Except I'd go with iRiver. xD
I saw my friend's Zune. It looked pretty chunky especially with a case on it .....
Creative has nice hardware ... I just hate their designs ...
So either go with Creative or iRiver.

Always will!
The battery life does suck though
I had my ipod video for over a year now, and still manage to get over 15 hours of life out of the sucker.
Normally I charge it everyday but I thought I'd do a test. I think you just have to ignore the battery meter, it's very pessimistic. It was red for 9 hours. Also, I have a spare ipod for when it does run out, but I've never had to use it.
