French isn`t too hard.^^;;
Whenn I studied in school, I used a very cheap French<-->English dictionary I bought at the bookstore and my French speaking friends. Aww, they really come in handy. What do you need help with? I could try...

J'ai été dans l'immersion tardive pour une année et je ne peux pas parler parfait mais je peux comprends bien.
I was in Late French Immersion for one year and I can't speak perfectly but I can understand very well.

...going from Immersion to normal English school is kinda sad... everyone makes fun of the French teacher at my school and it's not very nice.

Hrmz....I've attended French School until I was 13 (that's when I moved).
In my French classes now, everyone uses those free translators online, and my adivce to you is to NOT use it. They do no translate things properly, they don't conjugate verbs or re-arrange them to the right order for you, they just translate word-for-word.

Passe Composer is hard, there's a lot to memorize, but that's all you have to do, memorize it and know it like the back of your hand.

French isn't that hard to learn if you're really willing to learn it, there are some graduates right now, who have only taken French for their full 4 years in highschool, one period, one semester, and they can speak French fluently with me : )

Besides, English is the hardest language to learn, so at least you've got that covered ^____^

J'étudie le français en école... je ne parle pas couramment, bien sûr, mais j'éssaie dur. Est-ce que quelqu'un peut corriger ma grammaire? Merci beaucoup!! Nous apprennons la vocabulaire aléatoire (?) dans la classe... "la pirogue" = "dugout canoe"? Je ne dois pas savoir cette mot. Je comprends tout les temps verbaux (comment dit ton "except"?) la subjunctif (qui me perplexe.)

---

Someone should teach us some french slang! That would be fun!

You can also write "excepte" with an "accent aigu" on the second "e".

"pirogue" is actually a French word more in use in Africa to describe the light wood made boats the villagers use to fish along rivers and in the ocean. They are virtually no pirogue in France, but they have Canoe (same word in French).

ugh I just finished grade 10 french...and Im still comtemplating whether I should take it gr.11 next semester. Im in the IB program soo it might be best to, but passe compose is uber easy...the endings are basically the same on er verb and etc. with ir and re..its just the irregulars. but the grammar is hardcore, Im HORRIBLE at that pdo, pronom relatif stuff

I'm in my second year of french. and it sucks, cause I have a mean teacher.

Anyways, I use those free translator, but I wouldn't depend on them. I just them just to check certain words or sentence I don't know.

I find passe compose really easy. It's remembering helping verbs that are hard.

Yeah, I went to a French school for my elementary and middle school years and I can guarantee you all of my French teachers had bad tempers. For some reason, bad tempers didn't extend to my math classes or science. It was always grammar teachers lol.
