omgosh my skin looks just like your before pic... but i have sensitive skin and find so many products usually flare it up... is there some sort of acne treatment in it, like salicylic acid or bp? what did you use as a face wash?

oohh 1% SA that shouldn't be too bad, i tried neutrogena's blackhead eliminating scrub, omg that stuff burned.

my sister saw this thread and told me about this product. we both figured, why not? we both have acne here and there and scars from way back so.. we went to our local CVS pharmacy (there's a lot opening up everywhere) and we both bought one each at about $13 for this tube.


let me first tell you about my skin type so those who have similar skin to mine can relate. i have very dry skin around my cheeks, but it's pretty oily on my forehead and my face can get shiny. my skin also gets red veeeery easily. i mean like, i laugh and bam a tomato! when i turn red it usually makes my acne scars stand out more (which stinks). i tend to get acne on my forehead, but i do get a pimple here and there on my cheeks and rarely ever on my chin and nose. the kind of pimples i get aren't usually ginormous or the purple kind that leaves pock marks, but they do get kind of big. they are usually very red/pink and develop into whiteheads after a day or two.

i'm telling you now, i'm not perfect. i hate going out with whiteheads cause it's kinda nasty, so i tend to pop them. this leads to acne scars that are really annoying and take forever to go away. so, anyway, since this product is supposed to reduce the appearance of (not get rid of) acne scars, i was really excited to test it out.

the instructions tell you to put a thin layer on the desired area 2-3 times a day. i did this 3 times a day for a few days, but got really lazy and only started doing it after i showered and after i washed my face in the morning. it's not a mousturizer, it's an acne treatment so you still need to use a mousturizer afterwards (not before). so, after applying the aveeno product, i apply ponds (great for dry skin) all over my face at night and neutrogena spf mousturizer in the morning.


i was hoping to see results within 4 days, but i think i lied to myself and said i did to make myself feel better, but really i didn't and that's ok because the product says "visible results within a week"


sooo here's my review of the product:

it smells really great! i mean really great! it made me happy. anyways, i guess it can dry out skin because it contains salicyclic acid, but it didn't dry out my skin at all even when i used it 3 times a day. i didn't really see results right away, but within a week my scars did fade! i'm not lying! it really did. i'm not saying its like all gone, but it lightened up and after another week it lightened even more. the fresher scars took longer than old scars though. the product also claims to "clear up and prevent blemishes", but it didn't really work all that well to current pimples and preventing pimples. i would apply it pretty generously onto new pimples, but it took the same time to go away as if i didn't use anything at all and i still get pimples even on areas i apply the product to. it could be because i was on birth control pills, but the pills made me get pimples not clear up my skin. while on the pill i got pimples in areas i usually don't get it like my chin and lower cheeks.

i've been using it for i think about 3 weeks. maybe longer, but i still have a lot left in the tube!

honestly, just go out there and try it out. you never really know unless you try it too! there are just so many different types of skin and reactions with soy out there so just go for it! it's kinda costly (i usuallly buy products that are less than $10 and provide more of the product...the tube is kinda thin), but i like to think 'the more expensive, the more it probably works' eh?

sooo i think it worked.....but its not all that "magical". it takes time, like almost everything else.

wat do you guys think?

It didn't really work that well for me, I did notice a difference but it didn't help completely clear my acne and blemishes and ect...

I used an entire bottle btw so It's not like I didn't use it, or just tried it for a few days, i used it very dedicatedly

ok so i've been using this product for about 2weeks maybe a little less... it's really not that of a miracle on my skin, but i do admit... it did reduce the visibility of one of my pimple scars which is awesome because it's been bugging me and i was worried that i will get a permananent scar... so yea.. week after week i do see results of my scars fading... oh and i had this HUGE pimple.. one of those under the skin ones.. and i kept applying the aveeno cream on it for about 2 days and then it became poppable... so after i popped it i generously applied the cream and 2 days later the top layer dried out and peeled of itself... so now the scar has faded.... i am sure that the scar will fade even more after about week. long story short, it's good for blemish scars, but it's not good for preventing pimples cos i still got them.. i too get a lot on my forehead.. sigh... i should stop having bangs. lmao

I'd love to try it if only my skin will cooperate. I no longer use market products simply because they don't work for me and I trust my dermatologist more.

Hmmm sounds like a good treatment ^-^ I used to have acne, but it was never like SOO SERIOUS. and then I got stressed out and broke out like crazyyy, and I even had my period for like 4 weeks =.=;; yeah. so my mom took me to the doctor and he put me on the birth control pill and my acne cleared up alot and i can regulate now :] but I still break out after my periods are over...haha

some people seem to be saying that birth control is making them break out more...now i'm afraid I will suddenly break out o.O

I still have scars and such so I'm hoping this will treat them...I still have to go around with concealor on, and its SO annoying...

i bought this at wal mart for $14.97 i think

first night i used it i put it on first and then used my toner.

in the morning i used my toner and SPF sunblock and then put this on and my face was totally messed up. it was flaming red and it HURT.

i was so disappointed so i decided to use it only at night.

now i put on toner moisturizer and dab this on my acne scars and my face doesn't flame up anymore. i think my face got irritated because i mixed this with the SPF sunblock.



this actually works. i had this big red pimple on my forehead and my mom and bf noticed and cracked jokes. after ONE DAY of putting this on. my huge pimple went away. even my boyfriend was amazed. lol.

just don't put a whole lot over the entire face. just dab it on scars and huge pimples at night.

I'm going to buy the foam cleanser and try it out, since it's cheaper and yeah. Maybe if I combine the products, it'll work better :3

you don't know if it will work unless you try it yourself. It could work miracles for one person and be the worst thing ever for someone else. It didn't improve my skin and it didn't make my skin worse.
