The iPhone looks great and everything but I feel that once it comes out, I'll just be another one in the millions who plan to buy it in the US. Its kind of the same reason I don't plan on buying an iPod in the near future. Diversify!

maybe if i had 500 bucks.. to spend on a phone hah..

and i dont wanna end my contract with t-mobile and stuff.. costs like 200 to end contract hah

The iPhone will start out Cingular only... I doubt you will be lining up at a Apple store or whatever to buy it... it will probably be through Cingular itself.

ack it's cingular only? and i really wanted to get one too.

Tmobile phones work on cingular cuz of the sim card.. but then again.. tmobile wont offer internet service and other iphone services other then taking on the phone.. well that sux.. i wont change to cingular hah.. nor got the money

Yeah, but how quick where there be a iPhone unlocking service? This phone will be locked to Cingular when shipped, just like most other cingular phones.

I went to the Macworld expo where they unveiled this, and thats the info I got on it.

I'm not. I can buy a better phone that fits my needs that is a lot cheaper, it'll work with T-mobile, and it won't be big and wide. I don't need a touchscreen also. I'll get a touchscreen it starts to get a lot more popular.

Finally, a phone worthy to replace my current cutting edge phone, the Nokia 3410 (released in 2002 I believe).

The iphone is no wider than my video ipod, it's less thick, weighs only 20grams more than my 3410 and is a damn sight more useful. The polish of the UI looks amazing (I've seen a video of the KE850 in action and it looks decidedly less impressive in operation) and the fact that it is guaranteed to work perfectly with my mac makes it more appealling.

As for the touch screen, it's something new so who can say if it will suck. All I know is that I happily moved from a logitech mouse to an Apple trackpad with no issues, although before that I might have declared trackpads as unusable.

I'm not going to be the first to get an iphone, since it won't be available in Europe for a little bit longer, so hopefully they'll have ironed out all the wrinkles by then. But I'm confident that it will be amazing *and* unmatched by any other company.

Naturally, I'm sure South Korean and Japanese companies have released amazing phones in their own domestic markets, but frankly my dear, I don't give a damn, because I can't buy them or use them here in the UK.

depends on how much this thing costs ... i know its around 500-600bucks but ...

here in europe it should be ... hm... about 400-500 euro ... so ... i guess i'll wait like 5 month and buy it like next year

No... It's overrated. I'd take Sony Ericsson over the iPhone any day.
