Hey! who here are Science/pre-pharm majors?
I KNOW there has to be atleast a handful.
Does anyone work in a pharmacy like CVS and Eckerd?
I'm trying to apply to a pharmacy to get experience + $.
For a first timer, what are you supposed to apply as? A pharm assistant?
Does anyone know which pharmacy is the best place to get taught, work, and
make some money?
Any help would be great!

i'm not a pre-pharm major but when I was I worked in a pharmacy manned by a Korean pharmacist. She called me a pharm tech, but I wasn't licensed... but I had great experience.
I guess you can apply as an intern, but it highly depends on the environment.
At the local hospital in my area, you have to have been enrolled for at least 2 years in pharm school to be considered as an intern...
You should visit/call some of these places and ask what they require...

There is a pharmacy thread around here somewhere, shouldn't be far back.
Usually you can just become a pharm technician. You just need to take a test to get the license and work anywhere. In couple of years, I'm gonna get a license for a tech and work at retail stores, and then at hospitals if I can. Sometimes some stores won't allow it.
There is so much info about it. One person in the thread I was talking about has all the info you need or you can visit this site: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/forumdisplay.php?f=54
Here it's all about pre and regular pharmacy.
